About loadmap: In online mode this command is only used for preloading maps - if you warp to a gmap and the map was not preloaded it will look strange for small moment. But the command is not needed at all to make the gmap itself working - the server is managing that, and tells the client to go on a gmap.
On clientside create a file loadgmaps.txt in the Graal folder, and add the gmaps that you want to have loaded. This is important for level editing.
