Farming.
 

Alright, i know this has probably already been discussed. But it really irritates me.

Farming really, really, sux now. I mean, there is no point in doing for the simple fact no matter WHAT you do.. you can only get, at most, 8 rupees every like 45 minutes. I mean, with fishing, you can get up to 100 rupees every hour and a half but thats if you work really, REALLY, hard. And also, i dont want to have Arthritus by the time im friken 17! And lets just look at mining. I hate mining. The only point to mine is to get water cans and shovels. But now whats the point, since NO ONE farms anymore. Id really like farming to be brought back to what it was orginally was. Or at least have it take less time.

I understand that its supposed to be hard to get money. But i mean, come on. Dont you think this is a little bit extreme?

Im not being forced to farm. I never said i was farming in the first place. All im saying is that it used to be cool, and now it sux.

IT HASNT CHANGED MUCH?! like, 2 months ago you could plant up to like 15 seeds in one hole. And make up to 140 rupees EVERY TIME.

well no one farms anymore! Like I tried but I just gaveup! But now I have 1953 :-)

For me it hasn't been working at all. I get on, at a time with hardly any lag, and plant some seeds. I water them as much as possible and the sill die! They do need to be fixed.

Please do that now, or nasty things will happen :(

Yeah I don't think anyone is being forced to farm, but farming is there, and it shouldnt be going to waste.. It is incredibly hard to farm now.. It used to be that at least you could plant TWO trees next to eachother and water two at the same time, but now since the (20 in one hole) was fixed, you can't plant two next to eachother.. they are too far away to grow them.. I was thinking instead of raising the apple count, how about stefan makes it more realistic.. Instead of having to water your tree NONSTOP, it takes longer for it to die. This way you can plant several trees in a nice row (like real farming) and be able to water them all in time to have them grow. Not have to plant one tree and worry about it nearly dying because you weren't watering it for 15 seconds. Plus this would save most people from losing their trees when they accidentally disconnect.

So I think stefan should slow the rate of time it takes for you to water them, so you can actually farm at leisure and not have to constantly water them. Plus I think the meters should be changed because they confuse a lot of people thinking it means how much water the plants have (since it looks like a little water meter) And they think they are watering it and then it turns red and they are going crazy because they were watering it and they think the water level is going down.

If I could plant about 6 trees for the same ammount of trees, and the same price, but be able to grow them all without having to water nonstop, then I would be satisfied. Btw.. you don't have to change the GROWTH rate.. just the rate of them losing water. ;)

i dont like to farm/fish/mine, so i have other ways to make money kind fast... but i guess you need money before making money in any situation. I haven't farmmed/fished/minned for months now... i dont like it... and im not a person who has amost next to nothing...
right now i have 1106 on my account... i could easly raise that to 4000...

I wish i could be in the bomy buisness. :(.

you could go in the hat business... im not so sure how well that is going anymore... i sold all my hats.. and now im not so much in the business..
it makes a small dallor...

but when your in the business's you really have to know what your doing.. otherwise you can loose money just as fast as you got it..

Here's another of my ideas for farming..

Instead of having a meter like a timer.. how about having a water meter? The meter could be based on like 10's.. the max the meter could be is 100.. and like every 30 seconds the meter goes down 10. When the meter reaches 0 the tree dies..

For every 10 times you water, the meter goes up 10. This way, the plant can be attended to long enough to keep it alive and still be able to water more plants.

Say for example, the tree gets down to 20 percent.. then the player waters it like 30 times and it raises to 50 percent. Then they can go water the other trees until that tree gets low again.. This way you have resting periods when you decide to have them, but if you wait too long your tree will eventually die.. But at least it gives you a bit of time to play with. ;)

Farming Is cool... But Konidias's I dea was cool.. or stefan could make it so you can plant 5 tree's in each hole... w/ 10 apples a tree

a triggeraction thingie would be nice aswell, i think the reason most of our plants die is because of lag, I mean I'm watering like hell, it almost dies and then goes immediately up to 100%, I think triggeraction would solve most if not all of the lag problems with farming, I also think triggeraction should be used on the mining rock aswell, as it is very hard to tell if the rock is doing anything

Um. Triggeraction IS used in both cases. The axe uses triggeraction, and the water can uses triggeraction...
