Boooring!

Graal is getting very BOOOORING!!!!

It used to be good in the old days when there were just a maximum of like 20 people on a really busy day for the server, but now its just a bunch of people scamming you out of money and such.

And there has been no good updates like quests and stuff.

i will not be back on that server till something very good has come on to it because my account ran out and i dont want to upgrade it.

BocoC 08-10-2001 03:03 PM

This is about New Main, right? If so, I kinda agree. It is soo hard to get money, and it is pretty boring. I usually spend my time on UN or Xone pking...

Lycia 08-10-2001 03:05 PM

Maybe if Stefan let the levels team design the levels and some other dudes to do the quests, while he coded the game and other stuff, then G2k1 would evolve much quicker.

Stefan's trying to do everything himself, and it can't be done that way.

BocoC 08-10-2001 03:06 PM

I agree. I do everything myself, and it is a hassle!

Tolerian28 08-10-2001 03:07 PM

yeah im talkin bout newmain

G_yoshi 08-10-2001 03:09 PM

I'll repeat this again...If you want something done, then do it yourself. If you want quests, then make some and maybe others will join in too.

BocoC 08-10-2001 03:11 PM

I agree to that too! But it is still a hassle!

Slaktmaster 08-10-2001 03:17 PM

Then dont :)

MAYBE IF STEFAN MADE A REAL WORLD INSTEAD OF A PLAYGROUND

Birdbird_0 08-10-2001 06:31 PM

=/ its not the fact that that he takes it all upon himself, its the fact that the players are not working, even when Stefan asks for somthing to get done it rarely gets done, so he ends up doing it for himseelf,
when I wanted to make the lake, I was not asked to, I just simply saw it as a way to help the server, the fact is, is that the current staff are like drone, you tell them to do somthing, you get a hell of a time trying to see what they have done, you need staff that will work with ambiton, and... well... enthuseasim

Cloud_X 08-10-2001 06:41 PM

Play majestic....

Tolerian28 08-10-2001 06:42 PM

nah my sound is stuffed at the moment so i cant play it :(

Birdbird_0 08-10-2001 06:50 PM

SPiM

BlKnight 08-10-2001 06:53 PM

Make a G2001 equivalent of Zols pub. There are tewo bars but so far away and so boring, we need one near bombaria which has a main room (the pub room) and a special room for events and presentations!

_0AfTeRsHoCk0_ 08-10-2001 09:11 PM

I'm sick of working for a stupid bomy, I'm sick of trying to get rent for a playerhouse. That's all new main is right now. Let's with "d" all the time so we can get 10 gralats, or "let's craft this and that to get some cash". "Yay! Only 200540935843092 more times to go before I MIGHT have enough to buy a bomy"
So what else is there to do on newmain? Hmm.. not much, and I don't care for the other servers either. I'd really like something new really soon

Ahriman 08-10-2001 09:22 PM

You go girl.

Quistor 08-10-2001 09:23 PM

The best update to Newmain must have been the fish quest. I played that like 40 times and never got bored of it. Others were good at first, but Stefan should have tested them more before letting them online (mining, railroads).

That's ridiculous, Lycia. Stefan gladly accepts player submitted levels and quests. Look at golf, the underground cave, CS2, CS3, Capture the Flag, the Skating Rink, the Bopot Stadium, the Railroad Park the Samurai Castle- I could go on and on. How could you in the light of all these accepted levels say he does them all himself?

True that he will not accept poor ones. But he doesn't try to do everything himself, in fact he often goes to his staff to request labour.

BirdBird is right though, it's difficult to get things done. When you rely on other people. Of course, I haven't been asked to do anything.

I've never played CS2 and CS3, I would glady play as I just reliazed it was improved and updated but everyone wants to play CS over and over and over

Fai 08-10-2001 10:27 PM

I think the best player-submitted thing was CTF. It's simple, but very fun with like 2v2 games.

Lycia means that Stefan still takes on all the workload, even after levels have been submitted. He has to clean the levels up of any tile errors, make the scripts work with an NPCserver, he has to check the scripts for bugs, etc. Even if players submit things, Stefan still has a lot of work to do, not to mention while he is doing this, he's getting flooded with PMs.

I feel sorry for Mr.Knorr :(

FatherDante 08-10-2001 11:14 PM

Stefan does most of the NPC scripting because he's the only person who knows how. It's not like he says: "No way anybody's going to do this but me." Lycia makes it sound like Stefan prohibits people from it, and that's unfair to him.

Kyle0654, Tyhm, Bruges, Ace, AlexanderYoshi, and several others know NPC scripting just as well as Stefan, however, Stefan knows the script 100% and could write a complex script like a book.

TrueHeaT 08-11-2001 12:03 AM

Santerrain is player submitted... stefan just added things like the kung fu NPC and farming with time...
