Computer Lag
Alright, I am on Vista and my computer is fine. Yet, when I am playing Graal it takes me like a minute to walk across a level when it takes the average player 4 seconds. Why is this happening? I lag so much that when ever another person walks into the level or there are a lot of scripts/images I lag like crazy and not network lag. Is there a way to fix this or am I going to have to wait for the new windows client. I will probably buy Windows 7 sometime this winter, so can anyone help me out for the here and the now?

Well, windows 7 is said to run faster then vista. How many processes do you have running, and what's your cpu usage when not using graal and when using graal? :) |
CJ didn't bother trying to make Graal more compatible with Vista, Windows 7 does fix it though.

On Era, you'd move at 14 tiles a second because player speed is 0.7 (from what I can tell) and Graal runs at 20 FPS. He could be talking about that.
A lot of slowdown is generated by DirectX 7 and hugely bastardized DirectX support (Text rendering, etc). You could try the -OpenGL command line switch. |

Also: Cpu usage not using Graal: 49-53 % Cpu usage with Graal: 100% |
