/openaccount default

The account "default" should be an account that can be accessed and set by staff with appropriate rights? What does it do? It serves as a base for all new players. It will basically clone its attributes to new players who start the server. So you can set it to have 6 max hearts, the weapons -system, -movement, starting level and so on, and even their looks. When the player starts the server for the first time they will be a clone of the account "default".

Sounds like a good idea, but what if more complicated logic is needed for setting up an account (i.e., only give them this weapon or this amount of hearts based on a condition). Would that be put somewhere else?

If that's the case, it could get potentially confusing when someone is trying to figure out where a player is getting a weapon or attribute set.

Honestly, I don't know. Advanced things will probably have to be handled via script. I'm just assuming there is a base file out there for accounts on servers, and I think staff should have access to them.

As for rights... that's a hard one. I'm not entirely sure, but I'm positive something could be figured out.

edit: Oh, I put this in the wrong section. Could it be moved, please?

I personally think it's less troublesome to just set default things by script. I am a control freak.

What's wrong with doing this by script?

Nothing, really. But for more simpler set-ups, this can be way... simpler.

This is a neat idea, but I don't think it's needed. It's better to do this by script most of the time because, for example, if you want to add a new system weapon, you're going to have to add it to all players on login anyway.

oh.. my bad 3: i thought it was existing already and u explained it :oo:

I have to say, I chuckled when I began reading this, and as it went along it turned out to be a humorous, effective idea.

If it's a basic account, then everyone with change attributes has access to it? Calls for easy abuse, no?
But an extra rights tab asks for an update for RC, which might prove to be a problem as well.
Wouldn't doing this via script be the only workable option?
