Zodiac V2 Update: July 17th 2009

Hello everyone, just thought I'd send out a new update.

First off, I'd like to welcome puppin back as Zodiac Staff, there was an incident but it appears worked out now, and I look forward to his help in the levels department for V2.

Secondly, time for the ol' visual update. Em recently finished up the new GUI images, and they are looking pretty good so far. I also recently finished the weapon modifiers part, for like prefixes and other item manipulation required to extend the item system beyond it's basic form. I still have to edit the Skill Menu though.. it's looking a little off.

I notice in the stats menu there are no affinities? Hmm.
I hope if you have more than 1weapon, it wont duplicate it in the weapon menu, like in the picture :P
Other than that, everything looks awesome so far :P good job.

Just a small question, are you guys going to make more lower-level dungeons for players to level up at, other than following the same lineup?

Affinities will be added to it later, and those are the only items on the server. I added numerous of them for testing and so on, but yes they do duplicate like that because they don't stack anymore.

Of course we're going to add new lower level dungeons.

Ohh.. alright. The GUI looks awesome :P

Are you going to add more lower level weapons. There is a trend like, level 1 is your first weapon, level 4 or 5 is your seconds weapons, then level 8, then level 11-14, then level 18-20, level 25, level 30, level 35, so on and so on. I would like at least 2-3 weapons for each class for every other level. Level 1 you can still have only one sword but at level 20 you could have 2-4 swords for warriors, 2-4 staffs, 2-4 katanas, ect. Any input?

A high variety of items spread among the different levels and classes would be neat.

I wouldn't entirely like the idea of adding a wide selection of weapons.
The reason why most players play Zodiac is for it's simplicity, adding more weapons with a average player count will just make it complex and confusing.

We do have plans for more weapons and armor for levels and classes.

Regardless of what you may believe, providing a limited weapon selection is terrible. Providing choices will simply open up gameplay for those who are tired of being sheep following the mainstream, the sheep will then follow those who know how to work with the systems and determine what's the best.

What are you talking about Zodiac being simple? Zodiac is probably the most difficult server for me to understand and i've been with it since day 1. CMP's, Affinitys, armor types, monster types, the numerous classes, what builds to use, etc are all confusing. Once you learn everything it's simple, but for a newbie im sure they feel lost. Especially when there is little direction or guidance to help players move forward. Hopefully there will be a better newbie start up program and quests that lead you into the right direction.

Sound remove affinities or spell power, or make spell power only effect neutral spells.
