Era's gone Black!

Randomly my tileset for Era randomly disappeared and instead I was greeted with all black tiles as can be seen in the picture below. I tried deleting filecache (while graal was turned off), deleting the tileset then re-downloading the tileset, and pretty much everything that I could have thought of. Does anyone know whats causing this and how I can potentially fix it?

Is it just Era that this is happening on? Or does this occur on other servers as well?

I logged on every Classic, Hosted, and Gold servers and this only happens on Era.

This happened to me once but I can't remember how I fixed it. I know it had something to do with filename cache.

Make sure you have the tileset downloaded in the correct location and fool around with the "Use filename cache" checkbox in the options.

Deleting the tileset and deleting filenamecache is just about one of the few recommendations anyone can give.

Reinstall Graal to a new folder and hope it comes back in a wheelchair.

I know my thread title is great and everything no need to applause.

PS: most of you guys contribute nothing to help solve the problem

Try going to options => General => Uncheck "Use filename cache" and then restarting Graal.

Also tried, and it didn't work as well.

I guess i'll just uninstall then reinstall and see if any progress is made by doing that.

Crono 07-08-2009 06:51 AM

Have you tried clearing your tiledefs?

Exactly my point. It's all I could recommend, not like I was avoiding trying to help. I agree with Crono though, try that.

fowlplay4 07-08-2009 07:16 AM

Try clearing the weblevels folder too!

This happened to me once and I just played around with the filnamecache option and redownloaded the tileset. It was a long time ago though so I don't remember exactly.

Along with deleting filenamecache and the tileset image, try also deleting \tiledefs\tiledefsEra.txt, restart Graal. I'm sure that's what I did the last time a tileset disappeared on me like that.

Edit: I've actually included a copy of my tiledefsEra.txt if you want to match them up before deleting, just to be sure the references inside yours is or isn't the cause.

Thank you, it seemed to work ^^.
