Lockup when switching GUI
 

Okay I got a better looking GUI and tried to switch to it and BAM-- about every 20 seconds graal locks up-- it sometimes becomes active again and shows the GUI fine but it continues locking up in a few seconds.


It does this for everything but default, it also does this when trying to load the other built in gui. Anyone else experience this and know a fix?

Edit: I'm on vista-- it also doesn't do it until I am online.

how big is the .wba file? are you using OpenGL mode?

OpenGL fixed the gui lockup but now in opengl things are not smooth and i get a little quarter second freeze very often.

I had this problem when logging on some servers on Vista as well, changing to OpenGL mode fixed that though.

Also a problem I had. Fixed it by using nVidia's control panel to disable everything (couldn't/haven't be/been bothered to experiment to see what was causing it) for Graal.exe in the advanced options for graphics.

Edit: More problems-- now when typing PM's it seems i can type faster than graal can receive my letters since switching to openGL, solutions anyone?

No solution for that I'm afraid :(, it also tends to skip random letters when typing, but I guess that's what you were refering too.

Type slower :D

It's not just that-- like when typing something i have to go so slow sometimes or keep bashing the letter i want until it shows up.

i know what you are talking about, it's very annoying.

Try running in OpenGL on Vista for an hour yourself, send a few PM's, talk to a few players in-game. If you can type normally, well... then something is wrong with our computers, because right now it's really skipping letters at any given typing speed.

I guess Graal uses a different input device library in OpenGL mode.

I did try it, and I noticed the skipping input as well.
