What is Maloria?

Maloria is a fantasy server that follows a storyline about good vs. evil and the people trapped inbetween. The world is currently under invasion of the evil Daednu Emperor and his vast army of undead and demons. The three nations of Inuia, Tralitai and Nayfle has to unite in order to save the world from chaos. Wether or not they will succeed or not is yet to tell, but one thing is certain - the need for heroes to step up has never been greater.

Players will be guaranteed to see...

• World PvP with siegable castles
• Progressing storyline
• Large amount of quests
• Big selection of events

We are in need of...

Developers who are not afraid of getting the things they start on finished, and who are capable of improvising if needed, in order to push the last bit of underconstruction development. We are mainly seeking developers that know how to detail a level without making it look dull and boring and graphics artists to help out with various miscellaneous tasks.

We take things into consideration before hiring you such as...

• Personality & manners
• Maturity
• Basic understanding of the concepts of joke, irony and sarcasm
• Ability to express oneself in English

Do not bother applying if you plan on stop working as soon as you don't see either of the administration members online for more then two hours.

So is Maloria actually being developed?

Yes, very much so. Ziro and Ducky are doing an excellent job scripting V3. Although we require some level and graphic help, we're still quite far in the development of the server.

Yes, very much so. We're just experiencing a shortage in manpower, but now that Angel rejoined us, that's partially taken care of.


Neither of us are managers, but we both administrate the server, trying to make everything run smoothly.

I feel the need to comment on this, since it's not quite true.

• Most of us are always online, always leave the computers on etc. so yes, we do idle a lot. We can always be reached on AIM/MSN if we're needed, and if we're not there, we always try to get back to the persons who contacted us.
  
  We're human. We don't spend 12 hours a day working on a server.
  
• You were hired, and logged on RC once, according to the logs anyways. I also fired you quite fast since you,
  
  a) as stated, never logged on
  b) were hired and given administration rights by Zach, without the approval of me or Nate.

I was never hired, I was only given rc to idle and talk with gemini and Zach. I did only ever log in once or twice, but I stay logged in for days each time. -.-

You may not work 12 hours a day, but I barely saw anyone working for longer than 1 or 2 hours.

I was hired for level design and i am making/detailing daily for much more than 1-2 hours a day. The staff team isnt really dead to those afraid of being stuck alone, and with a couple really dedicated developers to come in and support our project we could make some serious headway and hopefully finally get Maloria back on the classic list where it belongs in the coming months

I think logging on is enabled already, not sure if they went back to Staff Only, tho.

edit: i just discovered that its not sorry guys, ill still answer any questions and ill talk to management about maybe giving you all access or atleast uploading some screenies on what were working on

Of course I am not working on Maloria, I don't have high-quality development skills, but you know what? You ain't either :(.

While not actively searching for new developers anymore, anyone who thinks they have what it takes, and would enjoy working with one of the most mature teams on Graal, are free to apply. :)

I doubt the server is mature, seeing as you banned me on the forums for no reason.

Old thread, same purpose. We're capable of reaching a point of development where actual gameplay can last for hours at a time and be sustained over a long period of time, but in order to achieve that we need to do one more step: implement gameplay to existing content.

Script wise we're probably ahead compared to the majority of servers. Graphics and ganis are in most cases not an issue. Levels is definitely a slight issue, kinda makes me wish we still had Xelt, Relic and Cubes still working with us, but we don't for various reasons so we need help in this area.

We also need creative minds. People who can come up with nice ideas in order to progress a story, develop a new area, add depth to current places etc. Sadly this is the ingredient we've lacked the most if I can say it myself.


I am willing and able to provide Gold subscriptions one way or another for willing developers, in exchange for their work. But please... help us. So close, yet so far away.

I could help in this, I have a lot of ideas kicking around. If you wanna give me a shot, tell me where your story is at, and I can pitch you ideas. If you like them, I'd be willing to stick around and help. Not asking for a position, just a shot.

Bump. Need a LAT or two to finish what Andy and Wan started so we're not left with half empty levels on a few spots as well as take care of one or two specific overworld projects. On top of that, we're looking for someone to help with a handful ganis for some boss attacks and dual wielding.

Forgot to mention this in my previous post, but anyone willing to help can be provided with an account that has Gold on it in order to carry out their work easier. I have numerous MaloriaDev# accounts at my disposal, and I don't mind getting more Gold on them should it run out.
