Graal Trojan Virus?
 

This morning when my dad logged on our main PC computer, he said that he found a trojan virus from Graal.

I don't know if he thinks that it was from graal because he saw the file name when he did a scan of the computer, or if it actually said that it was from Graal.


Help?

Sounds like your dad is making excuses so he can rid of Graal off his computer, i remember those days. hah. II doubt it's a trojan from Graal, but if your unsure and think you may have accidentally received something in the folder, remove the folder completely, then check your registry and any odd/recent added registries.

Did he scan for it? If so what exactly was infected/a trojan?

RC is (falsely) detected by Avira anti-virus as a trojan, but I've never seen Graal detected as anything.

What files is the RC compiled of that makes Avira consider it a trojan?

Just put Graal's folder or at least RC/exe in the scanner's whitelist.

idk, he found a few in some music files, but they were quarantined. the report also had one in graal, so i think that it was RC.



his response was "you guys shouldn't even be playing graal, it's only creating tons of viruses and trouble for our comptuer!!"

I'm sure Graal does far more damage to you than it does to your computer ;).

Lol, my mom always says, " whats graal going to do for you in ten years?, lol this one is funny from my mom " Does anyone care what level you are in graal, if you are level 200 in graal does that make you cool" I laugh so hard when she says this, because there are no levels LoL

Graal got me into programming, and now that's my living. When I first started development on Graal, I tried being a LAT. Oh how wrong I was :P

On Elizabeth's note, I've been getting a Trojan alert every time I try to redownload the level editor.

My mother never had a clue what Graal was, mostly because all I ever had up was a big text window full of scripts.

Parent tend to notice when the game consumes most of that persons day/life, and get curious.

My mother told me earlier this week "Oh you aren't playing Graal again are you? :( You're twenty two years old" which prompted me to start looking for a place of my own, rather than stop playing, funny how the world works!

Wait until you have to take Discrete Math, christ did I have to bust my ass off in that class. Most of the other students were taking it for the third or fourth time, I ended up passing it my first time around (and in a six-week summer semester as well), but it's by far one of the hardest classes I've taken to date. I suppose you're far from going into college anyways, so who knows what major you'll be interested by then, but whoever invented Mathematical Induction should be brought back to life, slapped, and then killed again.

mine found out before i even started to play. i don't know how they found out, but they've known about it for a while. all i think that they know is some basic information- you create a player, you chat, etc. i'm pretty sure that my dad thinks that graal is a killing game.

LOL, parents can be so stupid about this, honestly, is talking to people that bad? I never really realized why they would care so much. Yes, we spend most of our time on the computer, BUT, the computer is the next generation of jobs, so it's good to get a feel of it now, then later. They think, we could be playing sports out side and getting fit, well I would tell them, the food you feed me will take what ever I have away, and I am already fit, I play sports all year round, and you still complain.

It's not stupid at all for parents to monitor what their kids do online. It's not that kids are chatting that is the problem sometimes, it is how they are chatting, and what they are chatting about that's scary. They are also right in wanting their kids to "go outside and play" or whatever.
Yea, the computer is great for job hunting, but you cant find a job playing Graal all day....

But you can make a small fortune USDing. On a regular basis.

My parents have/had no idea what I do on the computer and I didn't turn into some creepy serial killing e-predator did I? How I chat and what I chat about has really had no effect and most kids are no different when they are outside with their friends away from parents/teachers.
