what's planned?
 

I guess my previous thread was misinterpreted.

Basically I am asking the administration to make their plans and ideas public for the players to discuss instead of keeping things a secret. I would like to know what's going on and what to expect in the future and hopefully add on to your ideas and create some of my own. I just think it's silly that all the work done on Era Dev is being hidden from us.

So far a new gang system and a new gmap is being made. Can we see some screen shots of the gmap? I'd really like to give some constructive criticism here and I'm sure a lot of other players would like to also. You wouldn't want to take a chance and assume players will enjoy it because when it comes to uploading it, people may not like it and it'll look bad since you never asked the players before releasing it.

So yeah. My previous thread was in no way trying to insult the administration and I guess that's what it seemed like so it got deleted. Hopefully it's understood that this thread here isn't malicious in any way and is just simply opening up a discussion about the future of the server.

I'll write up a summary of the plan for businesses we have, Sales can perhaps post his gang ideas, and I'll show a general outline of the GMAP. To be honest, we haven't even started the overworld (GMAP). We waited for a long time for Elk to modify the tileset, but finally gave up, and now Arch_Angel is working on it, and we're hopefully going to be able to start very soon.

And as mentioned before the Newbie Course will be used to teach beginners how to play Era as well as the basics.

I'd rather not share any information on the gang system at this time (keep it more of a surprise for now). Just know that it will be focused heavily on competition and makes sure that gangs are actively participating.

Mange made a completely new gmap a year or two ago.

Why not take a peek at that one? The sewer gmap actually matches the roads on the gmap.

It's mainly bits and pieces of the current gmap placed in different locations. I like a lot of the concepts behind it though, and it is much more organized than what we have now...I was using it when I was Dev Admin but never came close to finishing what I had planned for it.

Show the damn gang system!!
