Weekend Event for the Start of May
 

-The Challenge of the Lights-

This event will use the new event dungeon, the one with multiple rooms. It will be a players vs. monsters event however it will not be mindless slaying. Teams will require a minimum of 3, but preferably 4 people.

I cannot reveal very many specifics yet because it might spoil the surprise but...

1: Going to be challenging. Really challenging. You can lose even if you kill all the monsters.
2: It's a bodyguard event.
3: Trust me, there WILL be a legitimate, non-arbitrary way of preventing the VIP's from attacking the monsters effectively... unless the player happens to be John, in which case all attacks are effective period end.
4: I will know if the VIP are using holy possession Bile. It will DQ the team.

Maybe host an event every once in a while that doesn't completely screw over the few people who play the caster role (WHICH IS NOT A GIMMICK ROLE)

It's not like we have a playable god that's completely dedicated to magic or anything.


That's like Maroku always saying "NO BILE WEAPONS OR GOV", it exists for a reason, quit conning people out of playing the way they want to.

That's a ridiculous rule that immediately places all bile players at a disadvantage, as, by your rules, they are the only ones who cannot buff up.
Bile is part of the game, and a melee tactic in pve or pvp(in rare cases), i don't see why it should be disallowed.

Because the VIP are the people being escorted. Technically, VIP are not always supposed to be as powerful as the bodyguards themselves. In theory that defeats the purpose of the bodyguard.

The VIP will have a limit on them that makes it harder for them to fight monsters. And no, it's not some random "don't use weapons" limit. It's the main feature of the event and it forces the VIP not to be able to use any weapons. They can still attack monsters, but just for weak melee damage. VIP using Bile Possession will be able to do insta-death attacks against monsters which is too advantageous against other VIP's and screws up the whole purpose of needing the bodyguard.

As for magic, maybe if it wasn't so screw awesomely powerful and unbalancing against monsters maybe it would be allowed more. And, do you have ANY IDEA just how many people DIE A LITTLE ON THE INSIDE [and sometimes alot if it involves me, pink bunnies, and easter candy], when they watch valuable items BURN because some noob is too stupid to not use lightning on them?

Event Time:

Saturday at 6:00 in the evening, maybe delayed by an hour to get everyone together. If there is a high playercount earlier in the day I will host at that time and host again at 6:00. If participation is really high and the event is popular, I'll host at a high peak time on Sunday as well.

Wasn't bad.

It wasn't bad, i liked it but it may have given away too many ec's... i think 12 were given. Didn't see the last group but i know Team Dustari and Frenchies won.
It'd be fascetious of me to complain anyway, there was nothing wrong with it really, exp would have been nice, not sure if it was on.

Kind of annoying you host your events so late in the day.

Our torch bearers got through by themselves, me and Sean both went afk and died
