i made this spear, it may look big but its not for use of players but of a boss, a larger boss than normal players :) what do you lot think? :)

nice, can we see it with a player holding it?

Shading is a bit awkward, I can't really explain it. It's like, the metal part looks like it's just shaded top-to-bottom, and then the wood looks like it's left-to-right. And that metalish thing at the bottom's shine is weird.
And what's the red feather-type thing for? It doesn't fit.
Also, you don't use much varying colors. Make the shades stick out a bit more my having lighter colors and then have the next shade darker.
I really like the outline, though, aside from that feathery thing.

Its supposed to be a ribbon.

yeah, shading isnt my strong point, i usually make good outlines then screw up with bad shading. :( i dint think i did TOO bad there tho, i really

No, you didn't do that bad, you just need to improve a bit.
That's like my paintings in art class. We draw what we see in a magazine picture and then paint it on a larger scale, and I have my drawing made perfectly and then I paint like an 8 year old.

When shading flat (metallic materials) surfaces, don't use dither at all! :-)!

Holy crap Angelu that looks amazing!

That looks really cool!
Only thing is the top bit looks a bit odd, like it looks like a rectangular prism, and then a pyramid-type-thing at the very top, with the perspective a bit different.
That, in this thread, so far, is my favorite!
That would look good if it was more pointed instead of rounded, and had a wider metallic (spear) part.
And what's with the bottom? It looks as if someone smashed it against the side of a large boulder and it snapped off.

I like this new "everyone chips in" game you guys have got going in recent threads.

angelus shading of my blade was good, i used it to help me improve the blade, altho i dont like gold blades, i stole you colour pallet for the little gold jewel :P hope you dont mind, thanks for the help angelu! :)

The only thing I don't like about it is the darker part, it just looks like it's a box in that 1 area instead of a spear. It's too defined, but if you want to make that better make it shaded a bit and then go into that little darker part.

Angelu uses a really simple style so it is not that hard to try to match his style.

It didn't it just resembles ice a bit more to me for some reason.

it didnt some people prefer yours, but to me it just looks like a tottaly different spear based loosly on my outline. it looks good tho :)
