Login Buddylist

Not really sure if anyone else has this, but when I am on login with the playerlist open all of the people on my buddies list are not actually on my buddy list. Does anyone else have that happen? My friends that are actually supposed to be on it don't show up on login.

Elizabeth 03-22-2009 02:40 AM

yeah, i think everyone gets it. it's like randomly selected people.

Angel_Light 03-22-2009 03:59 AM

When you are on login you are on a global guest account I guess, when other people select people for buddies, the account shows buddies. When you log in to your account, your buddy list should return to normal. I do admit it looks unprofessional, but it's a minor nuisance to players.

YA, I also noticed that.

Its a bug which I agree shows how unprofessional graal is.

If you think that Graal is "unprofessional", then go learn some GS2 and help making Graal "professional" ;)

Unkownsoldier 03-22-2009 08:58 PM

I hate when that happens lol, especially when I am on guest and I see the whole server on my buds list and 3 other servers full.

What does learning GS2 have to do with the login screen, Graal's graphics, etc? Unless you mean master GS2 for cruise control to Stefan + global rights or something.

Present Stefan with a better alternative, and I doubt he'd turn it down.

You could also join the Global Scripting Team and improve Graal overall ;)

I got a few :P

1) Make login offline again (Pssh, he won't do that)
2) Disable the buddylist on login server 'guests'
3) Disable "Buddy feature" on login.

Or, since it goes through the Graal server to get the buddies, have it return no buddies if you're a "guest". No client updates needed.

You and I both know this is a joke. If he really did accept better alternatives he would only need to look back half a decade.

how does a randomly selected group of people on the playerlist make graal look unprofessional? it's merely anything we should worry about, or whine about. just ignore it- and go to your server, or whatever it is that you please.

Nataxo 03-23-2009 02:09 PM

It's a chance to make new buddies! ^^

If you're a new player, and you're logging on to Graal and the first thing you see is a glitch, it looks pretty unprofessional.

Well, considering that before you even log on to Graal the first thing you see is some clown-themed website that looks like an advertisement, I think we have bigger things to worry about.
