Staffing Changes

I know I'm not the official announcer but for everyone's sake I would like to clear up a few things.

Ibonic has decided to move on with his life and leave us. While we are hoping that he changes his mind and returns, we have to deal with the possibility that he won't. I don't think people realize just how much work he did on Graal as most of it was out of the public eye but everyone should appreciate the years of service he's given Graal.

As of today, Tigairius will be the new Guilds Administrator. He's currently catching up on all your current guilds needs and that area should stabilize now. He's still in the stumbling around stage so give him a little bit of a break please.

We are also sorting out the issues involving accounts support, pc id switches and the myriad of other things Ibonic always handled. For right now Skyld and myself are going through and sorting out everything to see just what all needs to be done. I know many of you need things done and even if you see tickets as unviewed, we are aware of their existence. Just at this moment we don't have the rights to resolve them all. Stefan has been handling many of them and we should have it sorted out and stable by next week.

I hope this helps everyone understand whats going on and when everything else is finalized we'll let you know.

Thanks to Ibonic for his years of dedication!

Congratulations to Tig on the.. promotion?

Is someone going to assume Ibonic's position at the support center, or are both yourself and Skyld going to assume his role?

Hopefully this transition will go well and thanks again to Ibonic for his hard work!

Tigairius 03-12-2009 01:17 AM

A few people have asked this question already, so I will just answer it here. Yes, I am still a member of the Playerworld Administration Team, but additionally I am handling the global guilds now as well.

The details of that aren't worked out yet completely but for now it will be Skyld, Stefan and I since I already had the ability to do some of Ibonic's duties as a PWA.

I've also added Skyld to the PWA as many of the things we do require both divisions and they were already a part of it anyway. He's a trusted member of the community and utilizing his assets can only help the Graal community as a whole.

Nataxo 03-12-2009 01:23 AM

:O!

Tig will turn red

and Thx Ibonic, you helped me sometimes on the support center ^^

If Skyld is now a PWA, what will happen to the Global Scripting Team? Will that be a seperate team that Skyld will manage or will the Global Scripting Team be disbanded until there is a proven need for them again?

Matt 03-12-2009 01:26 AM

Good luck to ya Ibonic, and thanks for everything. ^^ I think you guys are handling everything well, and i'm looking foward to next week. Good luck Tig.

I've always appreciated Ibonic's assistance. You will be missed, thank you for all your support.

Aye, that's what I'm wondering.

pooper200000 03-12-2009 01:32 AM

I was also wondering is this the reason the News Admin position was posted, as Ibonic will not be able to update the news/wiki? Or was Ibonic not doing that before?

Twinny 03-12-2009 01:36 AM

No more GST =/

Elizabeth 03-12-2009 01:37 AM

LordSquirt 03-12-2009 01:38 AM

Ibo you will be missed and thanks again for all your help to the Graal Community and to even myself. You always solved my account related problems as well as the guild ones.

Good luck to you in the future.

Thanks Ibonic for what you've done, you've been a cool guy. Hope life treats you well.

The GST is not being disbanded. They are still a necessary part of the team. He will just be heading it and be within the Playerworld Administration Guild itself in order to help out with support. Much like Tig, he's doing duel duty.

Ibonic did do news updates but this position actually expands on that. In the past he or Stefan would just review what people posted themselves and migrate it to login so it could be seen on client. He would also work on the wiki itself of course. People that contacted support for news releases also went through Ibonic usually.

This new position requires that the Administrator and his team contact the worlds themselves and try to also gather news that is otherwise overlooked.

I am still managing the Global Scripting Team, although currently there are no other GSTs since Hell Raven and pfa were removed some weeks ago.

However, the team is currently on the backburners until we sort out the rest of the problems we face now that Ibonic has left, which means that straight away, I won't be hiring any new members. It does not make sense to disband it since that would mess up the tried and tested routines for playerworld inspection and such. For this reason, I will continue to do script inspections as normal for classic and hosted applicants and the other PWAs will continue to inspect as normal.

I guess adding me to PWA is more of a formalisation than anything.

Curt1zzle 03-12-2009 07:27 AM

I'll take the job, guys.

MiniOne 03-12-2009 07:41 AM

Enjoy real life Ibonic
Thanks for the help in support center as well as global guilds :)
You did a excellent job.
Good luck Tig and well done on getting the job I'm sure you'll do a awesome job :D Continue on working on GK though :)
Also good luck to all new staff members.

cbk1994 03-12-2009 09:35 PM

It's a shame Ibonic is leaving. He was a good admin, and even though occasionally slow, he was very good at answering all our needs, even as a one-man team.

I urge Skyld to hire some new GSTs as soon as possible. The wiki needs updating, and so does /scripthelp (not sure if this is taken from the wiki or what).

DarkRenji 03-13-2009 04:59 AM

Oh man and to think I was about to buy myself some new graal accounts with his help :(

Bye ibo

Bell 03-17-2009 07:41 AM

Skyld will now be able to set/unset pc id's for you. I will be able to help with email changes, password changes and also do pc id fixes.

It is still required that you have gold to change emails but I can explain how it works. Anything regarding fraud bans, getting a new account or removing subscriptions will be going through Stefan. I will be able to see all tickets in order to be sure they get to the right people so hopefully this will help everyone in need of service. I will be asking for any information that is needed by Stefan to do his part so don't be surprised if you get me first.

Well my pc id fix ticket has been then for around two months, but I closed it a week ago and posted a new one which still hasn't been answered :(

Can you allow me to access my account UnknownKid on this computer?

You should sent a ticket (or at least send a forum PM) for this question, not post it on the forums.

Bell 03-17-2009 06:58 PM

Yes, please ticket or forum pm anything you need done. In the end you'll find that things will get done faster. We're currently playing catch up and have got down to tickets that are about a month old while still trying to do current tickets so they don't stagnate as well.

We're trying to handle pc id's and passwords first as the research needed before completion tends to make them go a little faster and more people are taken care of but those tend to get spotted only if the subject gives us a clue. All of them will be taken care of though so try to be patient and we apologize for the inconvenience.

We're not as fast as superspeed Ibonic, but I'm sure he remembers details about many of you where we have to confirm things. Wouldn't want any of you Graalians losing an account to some ticked off friend after all.
