I also don't like the outlines on the legs. They stick out far more obnoxiously than the rest of the image. Perhaps a color similar to the colors next to it could substitute black? |
the top looks flat, it'd look better if you put the box on more of a diagonal.

Yeah, Elizabeth makes a good point, it looks like you're looking at it from the top, but also the side. And the light streaks, either make more to blend it or none at all.
|
I see what they mean.
Imagine making a paper cube, setting it on a table, looking down at it and folding out the front face to look towards you. I disagree with what you should do about it, though. Don't shorten the flat surface. That's tilting it the opposite way to the perspective you want... that's getting along the lines of those horrible cars on graal that you see the front grill and windshield but nothing else. Shorten up the bottom legs a lot instead. Since we're looking at it from above, if you leave the legs 1/3 their current size and give an impression of the bottom structure, instead of illustrating it from a front view perspective, it will look a lot better. |
rid yourself of any and all black outlines
|
((side note....))
((ouch. 8 hours after posting and you've got half the views of my post ive had up for 4 days  I feel so ignored!)) |
I advise the light streaks be made a lighter tone so it fits in with the table.
As well as making it stand on a diagonal since it seems you are looking at it from the top as well as the front at the same time. It should either be a straight shot of the table from the top or be a on a slight slope. |

Table I made, i'd shade it like that, the top outline should be removed because it is the top surface hence no outline needed as it is the lightest spot
|
Thanks for the imput guys will do.
|
Still looks really good to me. :)
|
UnknownSoldier hows the night stand coming along?
Have you made changes? |
The stand would look better without the light streaks.

You're getting much better :) Try shortening the legs down a bit. The designs cool but it's a bit too big.
