I think ranks on zone are a really good thing, I mean when a noob sees an elite or a Legend hes like ¨wow they are awsome¨.
But really apart from having a black colored plasmasaber whats the point of ranks? I can see the point as there are weapons only available for soldier but then.... nothing....
I remember when I started zone I was like ¨cool now im soldier I get to use stomrifle and plasmasabre! But after that the ranks are useless.
So I think we should do something about this like you can only use some gelat shop weapons if you are marshall or sergeant. This is just an idea.
What do you think about it? What would be the problems with it?

it's the reason people play zone, it's their goal to achieve legend, that's the whole point of zone, other then having fun.

Atleast thats how it used to be.

1st: Ranks are suppose to be a sign of your skill level, e.g. like in the army if your a general your up the top of the command chain whilst if your a sergeant your not as high up and so on.

2nd: This has been discussed before and denied

3rd: I would like gelat weapons being rank locked rather then class locked.

Edit: They are also a goal which can achieved within in the game. Just like winning Rps or Bps.

Getting to Legend is the reeason why I play.
I bet Conor's reason is to get like 1mil+ kills xD he is already 80k+

Be lucky you can use them at all, before you were lucky to even BE at a event. Winning them is as easy as winning a race now anyhow.

Ya being at the event was difficult since there was only one every few months and you'd be lucky to win out of like 60+ players.
Gold won't be reduced in price till we get a higher playercount and even then it may not be reduced.

You don't need skill to get the rank Legend, only time.

True but skill has some amount of contribution in obtaining Legend since if you really suck chances of getting enough EXP for legend are low and would take you a few years. While if you have a high skill level it can be quicker. It also takes luck finding people who have a good bounty to steal :D

Why was it denied?

If you wanted rank to be an accurate depiction of skill, then the only way to gain exp should be through killing people with equal or higher exp.

Uhhh.. Something like people would cry and complain or something. I forgot, it was a long time ago.
There are a number of problems with that.
1. Too late to do it now, too many people have high enough exp.
2. People could lame their friends so easily.
3. What happens when the community only has low ranks?
4. What if there are only new recruits on?

Who cares, it's not like rank (or skill for that matter) means anything on Zone. It's like big e-**** contest. A big e-**** contest run by 13 year olds.

Ya they do, but if rank means more exp. Laming a legend would make it so each kill = What 50 exp? Instead of the normal 2-4 exp they would get.

Ok, zodiac. Who cares if they beat you, it's not like it takes skill, it's all about who can waste their time the best and get the best deals/armour. It's all a big loser contest. It's not like all games aren't like this, if you don't like it why do you bother to waste your time spamming up the zone forums.

I never said Zodiac wasn't like that. But Zone's the exact same way, except the items don't drop.

So, I offer a suggestion, answer your comments, and I'm the one spamming? Gee, I should leave! Maybe I get stupider by the minute just being in the Zone subforums! Mr. Defensive, I say Zone isn't "fair" and you, being a Zone player immediately take like a shot to the face.

Rank started to be meaningless around 4years ago when Legends were popping up like mad. Before that only skilled players reach the rank of legend.
