Infinite GMAP

1 Attachment(s)
Hello, I've been trying to get an infinitely looped Gmap to work... Well, see for yourself.
HTML Code:

GRMAP001
WIDTH 5
HEIGHT 5
LEVELNAMES
"myworld_c3.nw","myworld_a3.nw","myworld_b3.nw","myworld_c3.nw","myworld_a3.nw"
"myworld_c1.nw","myworld_a1.nw","myworld_b1.nw","myworld_c1.nw","myworld_a1.nw"
"myworld_c2.nw","myworld_a2.nw","myworld_b2.nw","myworld_c2.nw","myworld_a2.nw"
"myworld_c3.nw","myworld_a3.nw","myworld_b3.nw","myworld_c3.nw","myworld_a3.nw"
"myworld_c1.nw","myworld_a1.nw","myworld_b1.nw","myworld_c1.nw","myworld_a1.nw"
LEVELNAMESEND

Levels and gmap files attached.

Any idea, anyone?

I don't think it's possible, but would be a neat feature if it was added.

Exactly :) It works one way, but not all the time...
And yes, it does work, but it skips, it doesnt really flow.
It would be easier to just make a "BORDERSCONNECT" line in there that the game reads as this function, or something.

I'm wondering what Stefan thinks of this... (Wishful thinking here)

This doesn't look like it'll work, well it might work but it could be more of a hop between the gmaps rather then a smooth flow as said before.

Oh, but it works in some direction, try it out!

So basically, walk all the way East and end up on the West end? North and South too?

Yeah, simulating a round world rather than a flat one :)

Oh geez, I've been wanting all my life to do this :P

Cmon Stefan...

A cylindrical world would make more sense and be much easier to work with.

A 2d world from graal wouldn't work on a sphere, maybe an infinite plane but not a sphere.
