Zodiac Could be better...
 

Zodiac has seriously gone down the drain with the amount of skill required now to pvp... for any of the older players (from before reset) read these forums then they'd definitely agree with me. Ever since you changed the HP cap and the Dmg Cap in Pvp and added like another 25 classes and 10 races or something its just become like total chaos (i dont even know how to become a dam time weaver or anything xD its so dam confusing) ... there is like absolutely no effect required after achieving level 70 or whatever the highest is to become one of the best players... JUST LEARN TO TAP and your good.

So i suggest you bring back old zod just keep all the new weapons and bring the lvl cap back down to 60 where you couldn't make some super stun class... and make it more simple and dumb done the classes back to like how ever many we had :) and bring the races back to the lower number, and its like i see all these screwed up moves to they are just dumb...
those were the days :) my fondest memories of zodiac were those days :D

But yeah zodiac blows now, and all the armor is overpowered because they feel the need to keep adding more and more, even though in RPGS you can only get so strong because you hit the cap.

Nah this was my main i was the DK/ Glad who kept nation hoping and like after 2months or something became one of the top 10 players :D i could beat james and darkseer on occasions, but ya since the constant adding of new armor and weapons and races and classes has really screwed the game over, a new piece or armor or a new weapon every month or few months would have been a much greater idea then spamming the server, and yes we need a damage cap and a better hp cap

Ohh if you guys haven't realised I've only managed to get to level 29 since reset and then quit after so I've actually got no idea what new zodiac is like but from what I've seen and experienced it seems to SUCK! in compression to the old Zodiac

I miss the level 50 cap lol :(

It used to be actually a challenge to level. Now a days people just play for 1 day and hit the level cap and be like PRO??? If someone is able to hit the level cap it must show that something is wrong with the server. With all these traits, skills, and the rest people are able to go to the top with no effort.

I dont remember you on zodiac, but once there was a race let out called "Dragon"
Me and Triga (Fear_Triga, BeEasyTriga) where the only 2 people to get them-
and we leveled from 1 to 60 in about 4 hours no joke.

then about a day later the race was removed for being over powered ( its race buff was a "dragon cry" or something that buffed damage by 400% for 15 secs LOL )

xD ya true james played for like 6 days of something is already one of the top players xD which seriously means the server sucks if someone can become the top player in 6days then it must really be the most simple stuff ever

xD yes everyone hated Frotter, darkus and james quit because of reset didn't they? James still plays sometimes actually, but ya now a days just get uber epic armor and you could be the best player as easy as that, back then we needed a greater deal of skill :D like i didn't actually have great armor but i had a pretty awesome build :D and decent timing for when to use my skills which made the game alot more enjoyable

Darkus quit, and never logged on after the reset- until a few months ago he returned soooo he was gone for awhile.... and now I think he is inactive again but im not sure.

xD james has always done that yes but coming back for 6days and becoming the best player is like basically saying anyone can do it within 2weeks, which shows that the game has lost a lot of skill :) because i reckon if i decided to play again within 2weeks i could probably be up to jame's standard

I played Zodiac when it first came out and there was none of these secondary classes. This was before there was in gladiator, dark knight, etc. The classes were only monk, priest, mage, thief, warrior, I think. Back then it was an actual challenge to level, but that could have been because the dungeons were being released too late and people were leveling from baddies were you had to actually kill a lot to gain a level. When it first came out I could have easily outclassed everyone with the pure monk build because it was rigged, I even owned Rogpog/Spike and Darkus even if he won't admit it :p.

Now, they have all these things like race stones, zodiac signs, secondary classes, etc. I think they are going a little over board. When I used to play there wasn't even all these different kinds of armor.

I reckon that glad dk and the secondary classes that we're brought in before reset were quite good since there were only a few, which made it simple but now theres 25 as someone told me which made it simply confusing :D

I played when it first came out for like 2 hours then i gave up since i couldn't get past lvl 8 xD

Zodiac had hybrid classes since 2006 (for example, assassin is 10 thief 10 warrior), but I hate the prestige classes. Rather than tweaking the existing hybrid classes they went ahead and added tons of unnecessary classes.

The armor is also a let down. From a melee perspective, I think glad's was enough but now with battlemaster's, nightblade's, and defender's it's just ridiculous.

Ok, why is skill in a video game bad? Go play pokemon -_-

The point it, it no longer takes skill its all about who has the Battlemaster armor or Archmages.

I've got 3 vamps 1 lupin 1 elf. Whats nothign special anymore.
You can be at level 60 in3-6hrs( if youre a good class)
I can remember those times, I made a pally and I leveld at BDs for days and days.
Or with the nice 9999/999 cap. And the working HP OR MP regeneration.

I stopped playing Zodiac because of some reasons whoich show how crap zodiac can be.

If you run out from OSL some people attack you until they found an easier person.
If you train somewhere and a high leveled char comes. You cant level anymore because he will take all your monsters. That happens for example if you have a party there and dont want invite a low leveled account. He switched to his level60 and you cant level anymore.
If you want armor at pyras and there is another party. That party might block you all the time.
If you wanna lend something to a "friend" you might wont get back.
NOW a story of my experience with "friends":

I gave 2 pieces of armor to a friend because he told me he will retard me later.
He couldnt give me this retard atm. He said he will give me next days.
I said I want my 1 piece of armor back(he already traded other one) instead of retard.
He gave me back.

The story beginns:
My friend told a guy I had the piece of armor. This guy went to me and wanted to trade something for it.
BUT I gave MY!! piece to another friend. This guy(lets call him Joshh) said he wants the armor. Joshh started talking **** about I scammed my friend and I need to get it back...
He called a PRlets call him Naack). I got warped to jail to talk about it.
I told my story and after some time Naack talked this **** about,
Get the armor... I reset our account if you dont get in 24hrs... I give you lifetime ban...

and that all just because I lend a friend some armor and wanted it back to give another friend as present.

I of course did NOT got banned or such because another NICE PR listened to me.

Thats a story how some people fail to listen to othe people(happened long time ago(2-3months))

Bring the one woman army scripter back, hopefuly less lazy and revert back to the good ol' days

Zodiac already has a larger playerbase and a lot of them enjoy the server too much to leave :D though they may try it out

I remember leveling at dragoncave to level 50 back then, those were the right times when I was the first Paladin to hit the max level with my Crys Blade!

yea leveling is a complete joke these days. all you have to do is sit in a room with a few other people that are killing stuff and you can leech exp.

If and when Maloria makes it to Classic they will not be replacing any servers. They should also be aware that they will need to have some noticeable differences from Zodiac to be accepted to Classic tab. We will no more accept a direct clone to Zodiac than we would accept a direct clone to any other existing server. We are trying to give players a variety of quality servers to play, not just trying to have servers trade existing playerbases.

Its my understanding that they intend to accomplish this task.

The only thing Maloria and Zodiac have in common, is the ideas that Yen stole from Maloria. We, on the other hand, are aiming for something more unique. There'd also not be any point in doing a simple remake of the server as we knew it from 2005, I mean come on, is anyone really that stupid? We want our own players, and not Zodiac's. If advertising on the web is the only way for that to happen, then so be it, I'd consider it well worth the money to see what we are creating to flourish. Otherwise it wouldn't have been worth all the time and effort spent working on it.

I heard from some of the staff that there will be a rather large Zodiac update in the near future. I don't know what they're doing in the update, but I guess it's nice to know that they're working on bigger things to make it better. You might want to get your suggestions in to the staff before they release their update and they probably don't read these forums.

xD i would complain to staff but they probably won't listen to me I'm just some level 29 noob now so they probably just be like 'you know nothing about this server' or something, so could someone who's respected on the server do it :D also ask what the updates are and post it here please

Honestly, nothing really has changed.
The Zodiac administrative team have added a some prestige classes, and these mancer classes. You may not know it, but "back in the day" when it was hosted, I spent some time there in Zodiac, and it was pretty much the same. A year later I came back again under a new alias and it still felt the same. This is my third time coming back, and a year ago, everything feels the same. Sure there are new classes with new weapons and new armors, but if one doesn't expand for replay ability people would complain that after level 60 it's a no-show.
