Ideas When on Stafftag.
Staff example Faqs, ETs, GPs, and sometimes others, make some masses about them selling items and stuff.
Why not make like when your about to mass, a warning message comes up saying "Do you really want to mass this message on staff tag?" then there are 2 options, Yes or No. When i was ET i always forgot I was on tag, therefor i massed stuff i was not suppose to do on tag and then got fired. Discuss. |
do that if it get people fired.
|
If you're on ET tag you would be hosting events surely? How can you just forget and start selling your items?
|
If you can't be decently responsible you shouldn't be staff to begin with.
End of discussion.imo |
Well say your hosting a spar. Sometimes it takes a long time and i dont know if its just me but i start to mass.
I see this with other ETs and Faqs and GPs to. |
I think you can notice you're with a ET Tag.
|
Its not only me. Srsly. You see all the time people massing on staff tag there items.
Cmon..It still wouldnt hurt. |
Don't get me wrong, I think its a good idea. But I think the Staff are working on more important projects. (lol, always saying this)
|
If Staff are on-tag and massing things that aren't staff-related they should simply be reprimanded. Adding a convenience feature for the willfully ignorant is by no means a productive application of time and/or effort, period.
|
I don't see too many staff massing on tag anymore. Most of them have the common sense to look at their tag to see if they are on tag before they mass
|
I'm sure the majority of people who mass on tag know what they're doing. I would do it too if I had something to sell.
|
I always tell my ET's NOT to mass out things thats not Event Related. but then If you have massed something like 2 minutes before you go on tag, for those who havent read it yet, it still appears like you wrote it from ET tag.
|
Sometimes ET/FAQS so on, mass before they go on tag then still get *****ed at...
|
so many pointless topics

Advertising when on staff tag used to be illegal and still should. |
lol oh jeeez
bring up a topic for it is pointless and when it happens they are told not to and if they continue they are fired. DT or w.e was fired for it and i know others |

besides, I don't even think it's possible to script the yes / no box when massing. |
O... lol well it was just a idea..
|
Not possible to script, but it would be possible to have a script in the control-NPC that, when it receives a mass message from a staff member on tag, basically tells the player (privately over the message system, of course) to stfu on tag.

If you search the forums, this is brought up a lot, and it's not really fair to just tell staff they can't ever mass. |

For me, it only becomes an issue if it is basically spammed every 30 seconds (Next to literally every 30 seconds) or if the person gets on tag, masses, then craftily gets off tag so that their mass message will appear blue [making for no complaint that they were on tag] to people with "Allow Masses" turned off but still get it because the masser is now off the tag.
|
Maybe someone can make it in the options in the playerlist itself like "option: When on a staff tag: cannnot mass" then if you try to mass the message does not go thrue or something? Or it comes up as an NPC message "Your on staff tag! disable option to continue!"
Something like that |

i think this is a pointless topic, people who mass ontag are talked to and dealt with, u of all people know this DT
|
ok ok.
Ideas Ideas. We are all alloud ideas even if they are """""""""pointless""""""" |
there's nothing you can do via script to stop staff members from sending mass messages on tag. The FAQ admin and ET admin should keep watch of who use their tag to send messages that are unrelated to their specific job.
|
You could disable massing for them but that would ruin for things important. Just make it a fireable offence.
