Sorry, this should go on the off topic forums, but not alot of people read those, and i need this answer now. I am going to the Anahime Angel's game today and they are playing the Orioles. I am getting there 4 hours before the game to get in line for Cal Ripken Jr's autograph, as you may know he is retireing this year and today is his last game at Edison Field of Anahime. I am looking through my cards right now trying to find what year he was a rookie. If you know, please post telling me ther year of his rookie season. thanks alot.

I have a card of him in 1982 with 2 other players on it, it says on the bottom BALTIMORE ORIOLES FUTURE STARS and it has Bob Bonner ( Shortstop ) Cal Ripken ( 3rd Base ) Jeff Shneider ( Pitcher )

cal ripken started his career in 1982 in the minors, the same year he moved up into the 3rd base position for the Orioles, and that year he was named ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
