level problem! please help!

Hey, I am trying to get a song to play off of the internet onto a level on my server, and it isn't working. I even opened a new folder called (mp3).mp3, and it still wont work. How can I play this?

They say that the commands are:

play (filename);

example:

play dogsound.mp3;

It isn't working.

I wish I could just play it off of youtube or something. Is there a way to do this?
If there is, please tell me how.

Thanks

First you can't do it directy from youtube.

Next, you can play a song with an url, so put in like http:// .... etc.
You can play a song from your graal folder but only if it's there :O ! Or else it has to be uploaded from the Remote Control of the server you are in. For offline editor, you can only play what you have loaded in your graal stuff (exemple graal/levels/sounds)

You could always use in the beginning of the script function onPlayerEnters, works better than onCreated I guess.

EDIT: Oh and, if you got a server and want to play songs that are to big to be uploaded on the file browser, then you could still use Winamp and Shoutcast (<--- With winamp)

With shoutcast, you can stream your own songs and it will give you some sort of URL, more like a lot of numbers and there you have it, you can play it with the script you have =P

If you have a problem, make a single thread about it and wait patiently. Refer to Matt's post.

This doesn't belong in the Level Design forum anyway.
