suggestion: punishments
after reading drakeeros thread about rum run, i saw someone post (it was shrimps i think) that someone would mess it up.. well, just a suggestion: if someone is sent to the pillors or pillory or whatever it is during an event, for interrupting it or ruining it, they shouldn't be allowed in the next event or party or the next fun thing happening on graal kingdoms. whatever, just a suggestion.
|
No.
Instead, upon release from the pillory, they have to undergo a parole period. They're allowed to go about their daily business, but with a dunce hat on. Besides looking so-silly, the hat prevents them from: entering Bomb Trade for longer than 5 minutes at a time (10 minute 'cooldown' before they're allowed back in), chatting (they see a message telling them how stupid they are, but no one else sees any text), driving ships (enjoy your ferries), or changing their equipment. Their screen also is constantly fading to black when they're idling, it only resets by moving. That'll stop that criminal scum! |
LOL i like that idea
who you gonna call? POJO BUSTERS |
Naa i like pillory, although i hate being pillored. I'd prefer to be locked up, there should be a jail for people who are serving a long time like 60+ minutes.
|
It'd be too hard to keep track of a black list to tell people not to take part in the "next event". For right now, the pillory should work just fine if it wasn't so buggy and if there were more then 2 of them. Besides, most people who get pillored get so angsty they usually run off complaining and don't take part in the next few events anyway.
The only thing I'm working on right now is a possible jail idea that can be used with team control. |

how about just design an actual GK Jail. you could have npc guards and everything. |

Bubba, the prison guard on Classic hasn't been earning his keep lately. Maybe GK should subcontract him to entertain these people. Otherwise, you know there is always the 3 day ban but personally I like the dunce cap idea. Public humiliation has always been fun.

I think that people who misbehave, instead of being pillored, they're sent to a jail where they have to "crush" rocks. instead of their punsihment being a time that they could just go afk to the bathroom or something, they'd be forced to do boring mindless toil... also having the unstick command disabled in there so they don't try to bounce to another place.
basically their punishment would be to crush, 10, 50, 100(cruel) rocks etc with a special hammer they have to use (kinda like a pickaxe). |

Well, I didnt mean like one of those normal hammer weapons, but one like a tool hammer that you see in those old Jailhouse movies, with the people in their black and white striped suits, using ugly HEAVY hammers. to sloowwwlllyyy crush rocks. Though it would be funny if thier clothes changed to the black and white striped prison suit. :D
:and now back to playing super metroid. |
again nice idea but disable phys so people like john won't blow through it although kicking them might be funnier.
|
just have it set so the rocks take a determined number of hits to break, isnt that how mining works as it is?
|
It should be made so it would take an average of 1 minute for each rock.
Edit: But the Tab + S would have to be disabled. |
Woah woah wot am i hearing we'll be subject to a punishment that involves us breaking rocks? Suck out, sometimes i get pillored on purpose, when i feel like being a prick, pillory is bad enough since you're so close 2 playing, but yet so far...
If you want new punishments, that are realistic, introduce a jail for long sentences and the jail be in Bomboria, near the trade so that they can still be seen by the public. Oh, but they can't talk. |
My way prevents you from going afk to play your other video game systems, MUAHAHAHAH

The rocks they mine could later contribute to the building of houses.
Rocks are always the hardest part ;-; |
whenever i was building a house, i'd build it to the point of where the rocks come in.
and then stop. i refuse to mine. |
How's about we scrap the whole rocks idea and instead we force the defendant to have a conversation with Elizabeth?
