Do you care about your stats?

Do you care about your stats?
Well, I do. People say that stats don't matter. Well it sort of proves your win/loss ration in 1v1, 2v1, 3v1 or maybe even 10v1, Who knows?!
But still, in the frag list I like to get atleast 10kills-2deaths, when I get 10kills-5deaths ill most likely reconnect to restart my frag list.
The only thing which I don't do is log off when I am about to die. I do run when it is 2v1 on me, but I wont run in a 1v1.

I expressed myself, how about you?

Bracca 12-17-2008 07:05 AM

i did but not much anymore i almost have 4-1

CABAL49 12-17-2008 07:23 AM

If I cared about my stats I wouldn't enter Zone if you know what I mean.

bahamutstevetff 12-17-2008 11:27 AM

i used to, but now i find it fun to fight 3 - 4 v 1, sometimes i even go up against the whole server, dont always win but i often do and if i dont i have a good go.

stats mean nothing on zone anymore, most people with good stats just means they run from battle most of the time, which isnt impressive.

What is that, like 4 people? :D

I haven't played Zone in a long time now, but stats ALWAYS mattered to me. They mean nothing, but they are nice to look at.

I take that back, they used to mean something back when everybody on Zone didn't rely on mines and laming to achieve kills.

DustyPorViva 12-17-2008 05:30 PM

I always found it hard to care about my stats with online games because they're never 100% legit most of the time. And mostly because I tend to suck.

Knightmare1 12-18-2008 01:52 AM

stats always mattered to me, just because i wanted somehting nice to look at =D

Shadow5596321 12-18-2008 02:27 AM

IXIs_Last_Stand 12-18-2008 02:57 AM

kia345 12-18-2008 06:10 AM

The only stat that matters is your charisma, and along with intelligence, it's Zone's favorite dump stat.

Kills over deaths, nuff said :(

Although I would like to be number 1 DS user again

bahamutstevetff 12-18-2008 06:04 PM

i miss being #1 in deathmatch, exp and kills :(

Elizabeth 12-18-2008 06:14 PM

i made #20 for silencer, today.

Minomato 12-18-2008 09:51 PM

What's more satisfying than impressing others, is impressing yourself. If you know that you play well, there's no need for evidence if someone questions your abilities; you can simply show them by example, or you don't even have to go that far, because you already know what you can do. You're better off being questioned by the insecure rather than being insecure yourself.

Nataxo 12-18-2008 10:55 PM

I really dont care having more deaths than kills -.-, I still have fun playing Zone.

#1 with r51
#7 or something with plasmarifle
#9 with flamethrower
#3 with turret

:D

I don't. I was hooked on Zone because of that; desperate to hold my title(s).

Knightmare1 12-19-2008 03:05 AM

#1 with carrot
#20 with SMG, Photon, Crossbow, Medic
#19 with mortar

knightfire35 12-19-2008 04:12 AM

I generally care about them, not as much anymore.

Desear 12-19-2008 04:26 AM

I use too, but not so much anymore. Back when I played, I only cared because I was trying to get a 10-1 ratio, becuase I was so impressed by BigTime's Stats, but then I slowly began to care less and less, honestly having ****ty stats is the best, because people underestimate you, and when you show them off their isn't much they can say but the old time lame excuses, "You got lucky", "I was lagging", "You lag", blah, blah, ect.

jkool666 12-19-2008 04:29 AM

I don't care about them anymore. When Zone was fun I did.
5:1, 29k kills and 6k deaths
#1 g18
#4 or 5 bluepistole

bahamutstevetff 12-19-2008 06:59 PM

68k kills 6k deaths previosly :(
5016 bounty
#3 appirces
#1 reapers (still ^.^)
#1 deathmatch
#1 other stuff
#1 ecp = 700k
on most stat boards
go me :(

Aldaris 12-22-2008 06:31 AM

I was never popular amongst the statistical boards; however I did manage to accumulate one stat that I get nagged for every time I show my face on Zone -- but that's just the way it is.

I always loved to receive a 20:1 ratio, and anything less didn't suffice with me.

When I quit Zone, stats were still a big issue for me. Now that I look back at it, I really regret caring as much as I did. This arrogant blunder prevented me from entering a lot of events/spars simply because I was afraid of losing...

Yeah, that's how I attained the 8,000+ bounty.

RealDDc 12-25-2008 02:40 AM

You did win 2000 spars in a row?

No. He stayed on Deathmatch and re-logged whenever he was about to die. On Deathmatch this warps you to the dropship but doesn't add to your deaths.

Not 2000 direct spars -- but the bulk of my wins did occur in this area. I achieved a high SR at the time due to this (obviously), but boredom had me checking out other places. I decided to venture to Guild Wars; which is where I would meet my fate (well, my bounties fate at least)...

It was a fun experience, but I wouldn't do it again. Getting on the statistic boards can have your mind/heart pumping so fast that you don't know what to do with yourself. It's an enchanting mind-thought, but the experience is daunting.

With an excuse saying that a hacker took it :P

I did overreact to what had happened. I knew that I had the opportunity to get 10,000 bounty granted a mech-like incident didn't occur -- but it did. >_<

I tip my hat off to Azeroth.

I was beaten, but at the time the only language I knew was the language of excuses.

There is not mutch other possibilities anyways, since 2000 kills in a row result in a 8000 bounty, and I suppose it's the top #1 bounty in the scores, with a little on top of the 8000, but that doesnt leave mutch time for the kills on any other planet. At about 100 bounty over time on any other planet or area, except for spar rooms, it would have took you 1 hour for 2000 kills, and the bless of god not to step on a prox at that high speed.

If you won 2000 spars in a row, on a acceptable basis, bow to you. Incredible tough ;)

Indeed, I know what you talking about, since im a player who always cared about stats aswell. But more the challenging ones, and personal records, rather than the scores itself. But thats more a result of the circumstances, of beeing all time trial, in days when you just had to start statwise all over every day.

As this where beeing having jetpack, plasmasabre or blueriffle at the end of the day and a lot hours of slaughtering, to fly around a few hours and slice a bunch people before the isp just disconnected the line for the daily reset.

K/D ratio plus bounty of course, and a nice spot in the scores as trial. My personal best score was a 100:0 ratio, playing some hours straight on iricia, resulting in a 2000+ bounty at #1. Think it lasted for a good while, even after I left the game.

But the things changed a lot, and I see people that are bragging about beeing top#1 kills with some weird gun, but suffered equal or more deaths while accuring that.

But nowadays invisible proxis, crazy admins/ ets, mechs, cakes etc. etc. giving you a hard time to really care about awesome ratios and challenging stats, not to mention the incredible high mood all about, just to tortoure a second account or the own guest for a few hundret kills, medals and stats or to screw up others.

Not trying to diss Jin but, yeah, don't give him props for that bounty, Jin seems to have changed now, but when he got that bounty, he used every trick in the book to live, he re logged a lot at spar to get it, and other planets, and killed his own trial account now and then, its wasn't really "earned" rightfully more like he "raised" the bounty himself.

I mean still its amazing to have the will to do that repetitive task over and over, even though I think it was wrong, most people woulda been like I'm bored, I'm done with the bounty long before hand.

My best Record was only 56-0 I think on Iricia using Appirces, I loved those things.
My highest spar rating was like 2,700 something, earned it legit, I didn't keep it long thought ha, and it went up so slowly.
My highest bounty ever was 605, legit, got it from Iricia, and a bit of sparring I think, I gave it away as an Event prize, ha.

WaDaFack 12-28-2008 05:06 AM

Ahaha I got like 58-0 with Proxies on Iricia until I was ambushed, I logged off than one of my friends betrayed me for my bounty.

Screw friends on Graal, all they do is back stab you.

Oh yeah, after I got pissed he kept spamming me "SORRY DUDE I THOUGHT U WERE SOMEONE ELSE POSING AS YOU"

Dante55555 12-28-2008 08:02 AM

In regard to proxis, I recall sitting in spar dropship when suddenly "You killed SayianOozaru and got 2356 exp!" pops over my head...

Funny thing, I was helping protect him in the bunker and then the proxis went neuteral and, well..

..lol.
