1 Attachment(s)
i started making a weapon and i think it turned out okey, havent finished because when i saved it, the colours went wierd, like a lot of the pixels changed colours ect, could anyone shed light on this predicament?

It might have gotten saved as a GIF, PNG or JPG w/o being converted like it should.. When you chose Save As... To save it, make sure the filetype is a 24-Bit Map BMP

If you save it as GIF or JPG in MSPaint, that will happen :o
Save it as .png or .bmp |

If you save it as JPEG or GIF in mostly anything, you'll probably end up screwing up your pixelart. JPEG is a compression format, it's meant to compress the image, which of course means lost data(image quality). With photos this is fine, but with pixel art that means loss of the fine pixel detail, which is bad, and also terrible artifacts where colors touch.
GIF can sometimes have color compression, and more often than not saving with GIF will screw up your colors somewhere along the line. I'd avoid it if you can. Just stick with PNG. |
