What's so great about this one I just finished up ?
Most people who saw it says it's fine, but I'm not satisfied.
Handle turned wrong and the blade design/colors are crappy...

+ I'm too busy to think about a new design...And I've got enough of working on it x_x

To me it sounds like you already know what's wrong with it, and thus being able to fix it.

I'm asking for criticizm also, and you'r pro, go on !

I prefer to not criticize when people ask for it, as I tend to be seen as an even greater ass then what I make myself appear as.

you use too dark colors for the blade.

Well to me the blade looks way to big for the handle plus hilt and the handle looks almost 2 short.

The geometry is boring. Very little will you actually find a blade on a sword that merges with 45 degree angles. Then you have the coloring -- it's plain. You took a very novice approach where you color from one side to the other. Blades are pretty flat, but most of the time it's segmented down the middle, which means one side will catch more like than the other. You also have the option of being more creative with the blade design, and collapsing a segment in the blade, similar to the Master Sword.

It's been said, but the handle is not proportional to the blade. Remember, handles are usually crafted to have room for two hands.

you could give it more details, and a more interesting shape. I made a quick example on what i mean.

Right now I was just trying to work on the color design.

As you guys told me lots about it, here's the newest version =)

I really don't know what else to do on this one to fix it, as you told me it looks too dark, but changing anything would make me change it completely, so restart it from scratch <_<

I just really wanted to make a dark blade, one that we could call DEMONIC.

Bleh.

Add a bit more red in there =o

Looking better. However, it seems to be really blunt. Maybe put a highlight down the left side to give it a sharper edge and then make the shading on the right hand side a bit sharper.

Your shading on the blade looks really... grainy. A blade is supposed to be smooth.

You're going in the wrong direction. The blade lacks any reason to look like that, it doesn't look like it was crafted to be curvy, as it's not even... so the only thing left to assume is it's a really ****ed up sword, and I don't think that makes sense.

You also left the handle pretty small, and still shading from left-to-right.

I'm trying to make it as you told me, 2 sides with one more catchy... (on the left one, right blade is just...a test)
Maye the colors are wrong ?

Well, for starts never use grey. Always give it a hint of color. Second it's been said, but your shading is pretty random and looks like sprinkle it. On a sword this is counterproductive to the material you're trying to convey. As I zoom in I realized you didn't sprinkle, but it looks like that because you're using a sort of checker pattern, and at that resolution just blurs together into a grainy texture.

At these sizes, sometimes it's better to sacrifice reality in favor of the design.
