You left out a very important detail -- what file-type is your image?

Gotta be web-compliant. Either GIF or PNG(I suggest PNG).

try posting it (through the forums or imageshack) so we can resave it for you.

What version of windows are you using? Only the very old versions of Paint only allow BMP. When you go to save(save as), in the bottom drop-box where is says BMP, click that and a list should show up where you can select PNG.

If that doesn't work, go ahead and do what Maximus said.

>_<

okk i found my problem:

i can save the whole paint document as any ."something" i want, but the thing i want to do is to select a specific thing on the document and only save that.

for example: i take screenies but i only want to save the things that happen around me.. not the WHOLE screen youknow?

any ideas for how 2 do this?:)

paste the screenshot in paint.
use the 'select' tool to select which part of the image you want to use.
right click, copy
open a new paint (faster than clearing out the current one you're in) and paste. make sure you crop out any extra white part in the image.

paint should be letting you save as a .PNG file. don't type it in the file name. type your file name without an extension, then select what file type to save. if your paint won't let you save as .PNG then that's really weird.

no. you need to crop out the extra white space.

see those little boxes that I circled? click and drag those around to get rid of the white space (or add more if you needed)
