Limitations of engine?
Ive had a few concepts running through my head for a player world but because they are totally different to the traditional concept of a graal playerworld im not sure if it can be sucessfully handled by graal and scriptable.
Im talking about going outside the genre, like would an small scale rts be possible? Basically i want to know if we can go beyond zelda style rpgs? thanks |
Yes, you can. It's not even -that- hard. There have been side scrolling platform servers, a couple of us made turn based combat, and I'm damn sure it'd be possible to make a RTS considering I've thought about making something like it in the past. Also, Zero had an isometric server going, plus the funky stuff on Atexia.
Anything is possible if you know how to handle the language. |
The Graal engine can pretty much make any 2D game you can think of, and usually pretty easily. As Ziro said, people have made some pretty cool stuff. I don't think a RTS server would be extremely hard.

Well, the "flying/zooming"-technology would come in handy when making an RTS though.. When will they release it? :[
