GUPD Size Limit... ?

I tried adding a 10MB file to a GUPD and it keeps showing the file size in the GUPD window as 0 and any time I try to download it it says "All the files are OK!"

Is there some sort of size limit to files? If there is, can it please be lifted to at least 15 MB?

what exactly are you trying to send that is 10MBs?

Crow 09-17-2008 07:56 AM

File size limit is 1mb, the client doesn't download anything larger. Login server and some others have the limit removed though, as far as I know.

That's annoying... as long as the files are optional I don't see why there needs to be a size limit at all really.

Yea, I agree. If the package is optional, it should allow bigger files.

You should see the file size limit when doing /find filename. The limit can be changed for servers on request.

What exactly is the default size limit? Could you increase Ol' Wests size limit to accommodate the 11.6MB file?

Would there be any considerable, visible slow-down if you split the file up, and cycle through 11 1mb files (and 1 .6mb file)? 11.6mb is a pretty big amount, for a single text file.

It would make what I'm trying to do a lot more difficult.
