One rep a day?
 

You can only give out one rep a day? That seems lame...
I repped one person, then when I went to rep another, it said I had done too many in the past 24 hours.

That's to keep people from spamming rep

I think maybe 5 a day would prevent spamming. One a day is just stupid...

I would agree with 3 a day

I don't think there are enough active members to justify more than one a day, honestly.

I think the bigger problem is the fact that you have to spread rep to other members before you can rep someone else again. It's like 20 members, and the forums aren't that active. Crono went inactive and when he came back, I still couldn't rep him because I needed to spread it around first... that should show you how hard it is to spread rep.

It was supposed to increase every year by giving us the chance to give reputation twice a day.

What if we made it so it increased by the amount of reps we've been given, or posts we've made? So newbies can't make an account just to spam, but the rest of us regulars don't have to suffer just because of the possibility.

Agreed, as long as the suggestions in the other rep related thread are taken into consideration.

I don't think it should be increased by too much, you don't want people forming rep circles.

Each additional year only gives you more reputation points to give when you rep someone. You start with 5 I think, that increasing through time, posts, and your own reputation.

It either means you can give reputation more than once each day, or your reputation has more value when you give it each day. The question is which.

vBulletin allows you to set it so you can gain another point of reputation-altering power every X number of days or X number of reputation points.

The number of reputation clicks per day is a separate option which Admins are exempt from. Admins are also exempt from the spread.

You may have both parts but, you still inherit both the X and Y chromosomes in your genes; therefore, you are male.

-30? Read the reputation forums. My rep power is either 8 or 9 and Admins get a default rep power of 10. You negative rep for half your rep power meaning Moonie gives you -5 rep. If I were to give you negative rep, you would get -4.

Why do you want to reduce the rep Admins can give? I think where it is at is just fine.

Admins can rep you as many times as they want a day and they don't have to spread their rep either.

Moonie is quite capable of giving him -30 rep in a day. Though I don't expect her to do anything like that.
