Alchemy bug?

Someone suggested I post this bug I've been having.

I am trying to use the '2 Lead of Countermagic' recipe.
2 lead
pile of philosophical phosphorus

Put in the ingredients, cast alchemy and my cauldron reacts twice.
First will say 'Your cauldron bubbles'
Then 'Your cauldron produces steam'

And then I have slag in it. I've tried with other recipes and it works fine. But it will always do this wit h this recipe. I've tried it five times now. And I've even tried alternating with water of wise. Still same thing.

Any ideas?

Your only suppose to use the Alchemy spell once.

I understand that. I do only use it once. I thought it was something with my hotkeys, so I used an alchemy scroll and the same thing happened.

Same thing was happening to me when I was doing DoV on pirates. You were there. I'm sure you can remember.

Two messages appear whenever you fail the recipe. It's this way for everyone. This might be because when the script "decides" that you're going to fail the recipe, it just casts alchemy twice. You aren't being prevented from doing alchemy because of a bug, you're just trying to do a recipe that has a high failure rate.
