Disable Chainsaw in Spar
 

Ok I know im not the only one who would want this.

Many times I am lamed in spar by a chainsaw.

I work very hard to get my bounty and spar rating high.. then it is just ruined by some noob who just runs at me with a chainsaw.

The player goes the same speed as you so you don't really have a chance to run away. Its not very fair to players who actually work for there spar rating and bounty.

Sparing would be alot more fun knowing you cant be lamed by chainsaw.
I don't know if this has been brought up before but if it hasnt it should.

Players pay for the advantages the chainsaws give. Not to be mean, but learn how to fight them.

Pie is too good to throw at people, why remove a chainsaw?

Tip: Double-tapping your directional key will make you run (which is faster than walking). People with chainsaw on CANNOT do this.

This is totally off-topic, but to beat them use a freezing weapon, I personally use a SMG, and freeze them , and then, run around them, and continue firing, so they can not damage me, but I can damage them. If you want a quick solution, get the Sapper Class, and use Plasma Sabre from above the Large Spar, and if you get in their face quickly, you can dominate them.

Ya players also pay for the advantages of the goo pistols, but they are disabled.

Goo pistols are disabled because the goo does not disappear immediately.

actually i think at one point it was a rule that chainsaws were illegal in spar..not sure if that still holds true.

There are too many rules. If someone made that many rules they should do something more productive.
The only time we should need rules is during an event. Other than that, it should be scripted so there is not a question of is this a rule or is it not. Many players get confused about which rule is which.

And to be on topic, why don't you buy a chainsaw and lame them back?

Their was never a rule about them in Spar, and their shouldn't be.

Deal with it. It's Zone. Learn to fight it, It only makes you better.

xD Theres an acception to clicking if your fighting a chainsaw in my opinion.
I think it kind of balances out the lame. xD

Ye disable it evrytime that I have high spar monokiller comes in kill me and ruins my spar rating
and maybe you can defeat them once or 2 but they will kill you 1 time and they dont have anyskill.

My suggestion if you start to get angry when your killed is to take a break for a few days. Go play something else then come back. You'll care less and feel less retarded.

but this is a problem thats ongoing. i doubt that stefan would really disable them but its worth a shot if its that much of a problem.

I see no problems with Az giving advice even if he doesn't play anymore. He still has a very good grasp of game play and he has three times as many hours as you Raven.

I don't see this as a problem. You can learn to avoid it or just don't enter that room. Usually you can kill them it is just a matter of learning how to. It isn't as big of a problem as you are making it out to be.

Well, the real problem with the chainsaw is "Spar Laming", which is when the chainsaw stands in front of the door with the chainsaw on, so that if someone comes in, they take immediate damage and can be killed even easier. That's illegal, and that can be dealt with. If they want to spar fairly, then I don't see it as a problem. Chainsaws are easy to counter, if you use certain weapons and a class with a speed bonus. Plasmasabre will beat anyone with a chainsaw if you get them first and keep hitting them. Anything that can lame or slow down the chainsaw wielder works as well. Chainsaws are slower than normal when they are running, so use that to your advantage -- backstrafe if needed.

best thing to do is to disable weapons afte a round then when another person enters a 5-8 second count starts and at the end of it weapons are enabled.

It seems to me that they are going the same speed as normal in spar. o.O

idk about you guys but i can get away from chainsaw door laming. just run in, running at a diagnol slant, the opposite direction from the chainsawer

If the chainsaw is turned on, they go slightly slower than normal, and are not allowed to double-tap for a sprint. If it is NOT on, they can move about normally.

Any player laming with chainsaw will agree that NORMAL players just learn to stay away from it :P. If you MUST fight because of an OCD problem, again just try keeping away...

Learn to fight them or just ignore the spar, lol. Most things that go in forums don't really change in Zone. lol

yes. avoid spar...iricia doesnt consume all of zone all day every day...more people need to lame on iricia?.

yes. nobody goes to spar much...some of u may to chat but nobody ever really fights on spar too much...unless they are challenging someone who thinks they are better then them...
huge sarcasm and something needs to be done about iricia.

I see people on Spar various times in the day. Usually it's just a much of noobs doing stupid things.
