Level Making Forum Mod

These forums are dead. I, as well as others, think that putting a mod here that could coordinate things, organize things, and perhaps get involved themselves could up the activity.

Right now there's hardly any level makers around period, but Crono has came back and he's one of the best level makers around. I find it only fitting that he would mod... of course, it's up to him and the administration, but I thought I'd put my vote out for him. I see absolutely no reason he shouldn't.

So I personally think it's in need of a mod, if you do too, post your thoughts of who, or why not.

I see what have some tutorials, whoever moderates the forum should update them so that they are easier not only to access but to use. If they're not on the wiki perhaps they would transfer them aswell?

DustyPorViva 06-02-2008 10:32 PM

Stop rolling eyes and accept your fate!

By the way, your avatar is staring at me funny. delete probably inappropriate bit here I think he wants me.

Desear 06-02-2008 10:33 PM

YES! YES! YES! Crono 4 Moderator!

In all seriousness, Crono would be an excellent choice, seeing as he is a Leveling Guru, and has many years of experience with leveling, the editor, and tilesets. :)

Galdor 06-02-2008 10:33 PM

I must agree and post and agree.

Crono has planned on creating a directory of tutorials for quite some time, starting with the basics then moving onto things that people struggle on and welcome people into contributing for server-specifics, etc. It would help if he was moderator to be honest, not one of these development boards has a nice set of relevant tutorials.

i like this idea, Crono is the best LAT anyway he he ^^ ^^

cbk1994 06-02-2008 10:37 PM

It would also be nice to work on a protocol for tutorials, so that the process of learning is impeded only by the understanding of the individual - not the quality or consistency of the content being presented.

I think color-coding specific tutorials is a beginning so that if a user is referenced to a collected they will know to look for the tutorial with the "green" title for example. There are other methods which can later be outlined if there's enough interest.

Let's see... we have about 5 or so people posting here... It's final then, EVERYONE AGREES!

There will be a vote, which can present to the administrators.

DustyPorViva 06-02-2008 10:41 PM

Well a vote would require another candidate. We can't even find another level maker!

The vote is if everyone agrees - those who do not may post otherwise, and if they, as a consensus outnumber those who wish to see Crono as moderator they will have a addition to the pole made for them.

A poll about one person is unnecessary, you can tell by the replies of one thread if someone is deemed like they would be a good moderator in the publics eyes. For example.. uhm.. see above.

pooper200000 06-02-2008 10:51 PM

Gerami is a really good LAT.
Just kidding, Crono is a great LAT. I think that Crono's constant participation in the forums even throughout his absence shows that he is active in the community. He is a mature player and is generally nice. He is well known within the community and the few times that I have had problems, I have always been able to talk to Crono and ask for help. He has resolved my issues promptly. I think he deserves a chance :)

Pimmeh 06-02-2008 10:55 PM

Crono.
Nuff said

Tigairius 06-03-2008 01:44 AM

Crono is a decent LAT, I think he's capable of moderating the levels forum.

Robin 06-03-2008 02:03 AM

Crono or Dusty for mod, seeing as they are the only active LATs who are, iono actually good?

DustyPorViva 06-03-2008 02:05 AM

Heh, I'm no LAT!!!

[email protected] 06-03-2008 08:16 AM

i am a LAT !!! but my skill is scripting since 05 he he he

Robin 06-03-2008 08:27 AM

Yeah but you can LAT. That's better than most people around here.

I have decided to make Crono a mod for the levels forum, mainly because members seem to get along well with him, and I believe he can be helpful.
Hopefully he will behave, and remain a mod there.

Hiring mods are generally suppose to go through unixmad for that forum, but since he wont reply to me anymore..................................

Now, Gerami!
On with the contests! :D

And with contests I mean something more specific then:
"BEST LEVEL WINS LULZ!"

Rufus 06-03-2008 05:30 PM

Okay guys.. now that's one forum sorted.. Dusty for the graphics forum revival? ;)

MysticX2X 06-03-2008 06:36 PM

Never really found a point for a mod of the level making forum.
