a bomy to the past

played around with some colors on a bomy island screenshot and made it a more
classic zelda like just for fun, also added cool effects like cloud shadow and sky
reflection in the water hehe ^^

edit: played around some more :D

That's pretty cool :o

TheFisherman 03-24-2008 09:02 PM

sexy, that would be pretty cool a drawn server like that

Galdor 03-24-2008 09:13 PM

think it might look better pixelated, but I was kinda sloppy with the brush didn't care so much about getting it to look as good a possible or so, was focusing on the colors xD

the clouds and other cool special effects could be brushwork tho I think, but rest should be pixel by pixel :)

wow

Awesome, I'd totally play any server that looked like that,

The beautiful thing is that the cloud reflections in the water could be done, but would need an 'advanced' tileset and working with layers... which is a pain when they're not supported.

Galdor 03-27-2008 11:37 PM

here is another paint over thingy. tree tops are quite messy had no real clue how they would look exactly xD

MrAnonymous_P2P 03-28-2008 12:09 AM

I actually like the messy treetop look, it makes it look like it is less from a tileset and more like it was all hand made (In the case that is was a tileset)

i love you galdor

I would just use a script that dynamically shows cloud shadows.

DustyPorViva 03-28-2008 02:59 AM

But why just have shadows when you can make the water not-so-bland? It's pretty simple script-wise and can allow cool effects in the future as well.
It's just hard to do because there is no easy way to do layers as of now except for manually through text.
