Textoffset on Button Controls?

Is there any way to use textoffset in button control profiles? It doesnt work for me. Might also do it wrong. Currently im just putting this into the button control:

useOwnProfile = true;

profile.textoffset = "2 -5";

Which doesnt do anything :/

textoffset works with very few controls which is really annoying.
