Thats possible, and people have done it in the past. You will know after approx. 3 months of forum usage.

I USE THAT! Only wish it had a few more tools, like blur and smudge. :(

[email protected] 03-17-2008 08:21 PM

photoshop cs

Kirble 03-17-2008 08:37 PM

Please tell me that for pixel work you do not use ANY of CS's function other than the pencil tool and the colour palette? Oh, and of course, the line tool? xp

Crow 03-17-2008 09:10 PM

Gogogo MS Paint! Or GraphicsGale, thats awesome too.

Why the hell does it matter how she made it?

It looks decent enough for Graal... just so long as the rest of the graphics match that style. There's not much to judge it with anyways. I mean if she showed it to us in game, with the bodies, tileset, etc (whichever she plans on using), then that's a whole other story...

[email protected] 03-17-2008 09:15 PM

i have amazing things planned he he he ^^^^^^

Cool axe. I like that's its a plain axe. Some servers like to make their axes really wierd and retarded looking like the huge axes on Zodiac.

Because to be honest, if you knew a thing about pixel art you would know that the various tools are not needed, nor should be used.

Go read a book or something.

Could of just used MSPaint...
Anyways good start, i think you should look at peoples work on pixel joint (google it)

Door 03-17-2008 11:40 PM

MS Paint is certainly fine for pixel art, but using a program like Paint.NET makes things waaayyyy more easy by allowing layering and some other little features that Paint lacks.

Bell 03-18-2008 12:03 AM

There is an entirely free version of a program just like Photoshop called Gimp that has a lot of abilities that Paint doesn't have either. Just google it, they have a dot com address.

If you can afford it, try Fireworks CS3.

It was cooler before Adobe bought it out and stuck CS3 on the end.

Still, there is no real difference except the name & icon.

I disagree, all products included in the newest Creative Suite previously developed by Macromedia are far cooler now.

DustyPorViva 03-18-2008 04:56 AM

I use MSPaint, personally. It's not that advanced(lacks layers and crap), but it gets the job done. I have Photoshop but it's just not fit for pixel art. I heard really great things about Promotion for pixel art(many people at pixelation use it, and those that praise it do pixel work for money), but it costs. If you're looking to get serious, I guess you can look into that.

Flash, Dreamweaver, etc, but Fireworks didn't get much done to it.

EDIT:

LOL DUSTY

Much that you can see without experience using the software on a practical level.

Kirble 03-19-2008 09:48 PM

Oh, the irony, I'm also quoting that @ Crow xD

Programmer 03-20-2008 12:27 PM

Nice axe, Sidney.

I'm the only one in 3 or 4 pages who's on topic -_-..

Forgiven 03-20-2008 07:07 PM
