Parasite Event!
 

Event Idea (Rough Summary, Idea)

Parasite
Break Down:
+1 Team
+It would be hosted on a new map, a City, you could go inside buildings, and go to higher floors, and lower floors. The main Map (Excluding inside buildings) should be the size of Deathmatch.
+Once everyone has entered the battlefield, the ET will start the Event, the ET will randomly/ manually select (a) Infected Player(s), and start the game.
+The objective is to survive, or kill all the Infected Players, as a Infected Player its the opposite, Infect Everyone
+The non-infected players would have lightinfantary speed, and would only have flamethrower, r51, and combatknife
+The Infected Players would not be able to use weapons, but will be able to Spew Parasitic Leeches to infect other players, and be able to bite them (Would need a New GFX and Gani)
+Infected Players would have their HP restored to 200 (Yes, Infected would get 200 HP), would have Sapper speed, and would have a timer in the middle lower portion of their screen giving them 5 minutes to live, when its up they die. (Parasite is feeding off of them, making them die eventually)
+You can not hurt your own team mates, although the Parasites will appear as Green Dots, look normal, but can be hurt (Give it a little edge in gameplay)
+When a Person dies by a Infected player, Bite or Leeches (if its a barrel or suicide in Slime, you go to the dropship) then they become Infected.

*Parasitic Leech (Infected Players):
Power: 10, Once hit, the players life drains 1 HP every Second for 20 seconds.
-Delay between shots: (Still deciding)
-Clip: Infinite
-Ammo: Energy, 15 Energy a shot
(It would fire 1 Bullet, but it would be the size of the Photon's D shot, and would be a GFX of probably a mass of little green parasitic leeches or something)
-Key to use: D

*Bite (Infected Players):
-Power: 40
-Delay: Reapers S attack
-Clip: N/A
-Ammo: Energy, 25 Energy a bite (Could just be a Gani, where the head goes forward a bit.)
-Key to use: S

*-New Weapons

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you guys are stereotypes, you think that Zombies are based off one thing, and the concept of what they do are based off one thing... hate to break it to you but Resident Evil didn't create Zombies...

And I said, "Parasite" (meaning they invade the body, and take control), I'm going for more of a Futuristic Alien theme here to go with Zone.

Now back on topic, do you think this would go with Zone? It could be an Event hosted now and then not something hosted every other day, maybe like 2-3 times a month. Or wait I'm getting ahead of myself, does it work with Zone, would the players like it?

Also, I dunno if this would be a good idea, if they have to bite it wouldn't be a very long range and if the other team has guns then it is fail.

True but he didn't have to assume that. Now I'm going to say you ripped it from Resident Evil. Infact Boing, Sean, and I play Resident Evil Online and this sounds exactly the same.

Seriously though, I agree somethings are obvious rip-offs (Hammer :rolleyes:)But in truth anything ever made is *technically* copying something else. Sure we can make something original here and there but in the end most things are going to copy something else that done it first.

Most people would like the same ideas. People aren't always going to like new ideas.

Are you going to pick a game like Halo or a brand new game that you've never heard about?

Yeah, its a nice idea :) But it would require some graphics for when the parasite wins :) Like a short movie of the parasite erupting from the bodies, showing a few aliens :D

Maybe you should start watching the Resident Evil movies a tiny bit more if you think this is anything close too it.

It does sound like resident evil, get infected and you become a zombie/mutant that was the premis of the movies I saw.

Resident Evil wasn't the first to do such things. It maybe more known, But it wasn't first. So therefore, It's not Resident Evil type. It's Zombie type or whatever the first movie on zombies were. To me, it sounds more like Aliens than Zombies, and the last time i checked zombie's don't spit out leechs. Unless they did it in the third one, Haven't seen that one yet.

That would be a pretty cool idea to go along with it, maybe a Gani Shop Movie would work for it? And I don't know what we would do about GFX for aliens though, we are in need of a GFX Artist for Zone from what I know of.

My neigbours are zombies, resident evil, invasion of the body snatchers...basically all the same genre really.

Either way something foreign invades the body and takes it over but your right..unlike Resident Evil (god forbid you forgot that the virus was airborne and infected people (watch Resident evil movie again)) this is more like invasion of the body snatchers. Actually now that I read back reminds me more of the movie "The Faculty" cept they were stronger.

Ok, Desear the basic premis is like Resident Evil, virus consumes body. But you're calling it alien invasion. It's sort of like "A Rose by any other name would smell just as sweet" but in your case it's a parasitic/biral invasion type thing that's LIKE Resident Evil but you're calling it something else.
The fact is Raven and me personally don't like the premis, not the fact that it's aliens instead of whatever but the fact that we don't like the idea.

Maybe you should recivie some medical attention and therpy if you have those as your neigboars!

Yup i don't like the idea...didn't say it was bad but if i feel like playing a invasion of the body snatchers meets resident evil clone I wouldn't come to a game like zone to play it.
