GMAP not loading

For some people who log on Maloria, our GMAP isn't loading. It works fine for me and others, but some people just see a green level. No one so far has been able to figure it out, and it's a bit of a problem.

Try deleting your weblevels and seeing if the problem happens to you, yourself. If so it's a problem with downloading the file(s).

Nope, worked fine for me.

Maybe they don't have the tileset? Try deleting the tileset from your graal folder then trying.

Also: If there are tilelayers on your gmap, they don't work right when playing fullscreen. That's a POSSIBLE reason.

Was this ever reported as a bug?

I don't think so.

Nah, not using tile layers. And it's not the tileset, otherwise you'd just see messed up tiles, but here instead of being in a GMAP you're in one single green grass level.

Oh, I thought you meant just the color green (like a bright green) as that is the color you see with that tilelayers problem.

If they have that problem, they should delete their weblevels and see if it gets fixed. It's possible that their weblevels aren't being updated because of use of the same gmap name or so. There could be other reasons like that too.

coreys 02-04-2008 04:23 PM

Alright, I'll see if that works.

coreys 02-07-2008 04:41 PM

People have tried deleting weblevels and FILENAMECACHE.txt, and it's still a very persistent problem...

coreys 02-18-2008 04:17 PM

Still having the problem...it would be nice to get some help from Stefan...

K fixed and send an answer to the forum PM:

gmaps must be downloadable, the command /find mal.gmap showed that it's not downloadable. I've added a "file levels/levels/gmaps/*.gmap" entry to the folder config, it should work fine now.
