Find and replace for RC
 

Can we have a find and Replace feature for the RC?

That seems too abusable to me.

Everything is abusable if someone with a malicious cause is using it. I think it'd be a useful addition. I know there is times in the past where I used the wrong commands several times throughout long scripts being being able to have a Find -> Replace function would have been awesome back then.

I don't think I'm seeing it the way you are, when the OP said find and replace I thought it would be like an RC command to find and replace parts in files on the server.

If you mean just for the script editor then I am all for it.

I'm sure its easily addable to the Client-RC.

It would help with refactoring the codes, for one...

I already had several situations where I wanted such a feature. It would be awesome ;o

Just for the script editor is what I meant. There's is time when I want to replace a this.var with a temp.var.

Start -> Accessories -> Notepad
Edit -> Replace

on Mac

Applications -> TextEdit
Edit -> Replace

varies on Linux by text editor.
