What did/or does attract you to Graal Kingdoms?

What did/or does attract you to Graal Kingdoms?

And if your finding it boring now, what would you want to see on it to improve it? :O

I'm not staff by the way, just interested to to know.

Darklux 11-24-2007 01:59 PM

I loved the possibilities.
Sadly its only about Event and Kingdom Items, and Diamonds now.
There is kind of elite Troup who levelled emselve up with questionable methods, and pushed all Stat-Values to 20 Using goldkeys.

Seriously, 90 % of all descisions in game after 2k2 ended up in ruining the game a bit more.

Attracting is that the engine and the mudlib would have a much higher - sadly wasted - potential.

MajinDragon 11-24-2007 02:15 PM

I guess it was the community and the amount of potential i saw in this server compared to others. It was different in that you could be anything you wanted to be if you worked at it enough, so that was very appealing. Comming from mal you get kinda bored with people handing you items ( :p ) so i wanted to work for mine, and luckily it's payed off.

The community and the role playing but GK is not as active as it once was so it's getting harder to role play and set up good kingdom rp events.

Crimson2005 11-24-2007 04:38 PM

The thought that I could become a high level with high stats so I could kill the people I hate.

Crono 11-24-2007 05:02 PM

Community attracted me in 2004.

kia345 11-24-2007 05:53 PM

False advertisement attracted me. Now it's just good friends holding me there

Tigairius 11-24-2007 06:38 PM

I think it was the amount of items that were able to be worked for. It was nice because it always gave me something to work for, you know?

Thats true, what kept me on for the first 6 months this year was the thought of working for a KJ shield, RoW and extra's, it payed off.

Back when I started playing, Newbie Island attracted me.

Sky 11-24-2007 08:48 PM

I love everything about GK, the possibilities in it is amazing. The only thing I think GK needs to bring it back is new quests, monstors, maybe islands that have a significant point to them, more events, events held more often, and maybe some updates on things around the main gmap. :D

War and freedom to fight and semi-even battles.

It went downhill once they released weapon improvements. Get rid of Weapon Improvements and Armor Enchants and we can PK again.

Felix_Xenophobe 11-24-2007 11:36 PM

I didn't really care for the community when I started. What attracted me was the leveling system.

I still don't care for the community >_<

It was the first game I came across that allowed player houses, huge inventories, near unlimited item storage (it took me awhile to start crashing the indoor levels of my house with crap), actual player run kingdoms scripted straight into the game, and the sheer potential of this game to really rival some of the other games out here.

I believed (and still believe) that while this game might never be able to stand up against WoW, or a lot of these other flashy games like Tales of Pirates, we can use the simpler graphics and system to make up for it with much much wider array of uniqueness and content that would hopefully be far too nightmarish for these other games to pull off without 80x more work to their graphics and 3x more patches and overhauls to their game engines. (This does not entirely mean, that we need some MAAAAAJOR improvements to our own engine (or MUD as I think its called.)

I play for the community. It's small enough where I know pretty much everybody. Also, the small playercount doesn't bother me at all. It's like my own instance and can do whatever I please. Nobody else is ever killing lords. Nobody else is ever in the Haunted House Dungeons. I don't mind.

FenixTheBanished 11-26-2007 06:39 AM

I came back and played back in 2003-2005 because of the community. I was sad to see when i just came back like a month or two ago that the player coutn was so low. But I hope the it will get back up if staff decides to do some stuff. Im trying to figure out how to create levels for GK but I just cant figure it out and the stuff that tig has tried to give me doesnt work and its soooo annoying.

jonnyrocks2 11-26-2007 05:07 PM

What attracted me was being brought to it via Krit back in 2002. :0

ViperZakuto 11-26-2007 10:14 PM

What attracted me to gk was the community, Trading, and the ability to run player owned shops. Now that the playercount is so low the last two have become pretty null.

What exactly are you having trouble with? you have to load the right tileset with a script to get it to work.

Sheen_the_mage 11-26-2007 11:09 PM

I liked the systems and possibilitys.

LadyDarkwolf 12-02-2007 08:59 PM

A friend brought me to classic ... in 01 or 02... dont remember. I came back in 2003 and was curious about kingdoms so started playing. Met some nice ppl <fenix, viper and draxx i believe were the firsts> and stayed... now only the few friends that still play keep me here.
