Busting out the old digital drawing board-- Anyone want to join up?
 

I'm considering making a whole mess of character sets, monsters, items etc...maybe putting enough together for a little game/server. Would anyone be willing to get together and build a playerworld with me? Take care of the script side of things?

I'm hoping for a very active (mobile) combat system with special attacks and such keeping you moving instead of what you see more typically in online rpgs standing in place attacking and using skills and such.

Of course... I've got other ideas and such that I could bring up but who doesn't. Oh I'd love to talk about them to whoever might go in this with me but I'm not really picky. I'm going to try and not worry about being the boss of everything, nothing gets done if no one gives in away from their "awesome flawless ideas"
But I do have a handful of things I'm going to try and insist on ^_^;;

If I can get a guarantee for commitment in this maybe I can keep myself committed. If not, I'm going to turn to my programmer friends and take the longer route of making it apart from Graal and as a seperate game.
(Actually getting a DS dev kit and making a game on that would be amazing... but this is the easiest route)

So wait, I lost you when you were takling about the dev kit for DS.

You actually want to work on a server, or you want to make one then a DS game? You can't just recreate a server that will belong to graal on the DS, you know. They'll have rights to it once it's classic (the ownership literally passes off to Graalonline itself)

no i didnt mean make it in graal and then port it over to something else

the whole ds dev idea is more pie in the sky but its a thought i just had to throw in hehe

if i dont end up making anything with graal, making something on the ds would be sweet

if you want someone to make something on the DS with you, why did you post this in Playerworld Forums? Why did you mention things about building together a server?

For anyone who doesn't know, Alarid is like a demigod in art, and you'd be blessed to work with him. Whatever graphical needs you need to get your work done, he'll most likely get it done. Also, he excels at what a hell of a lot of Graalians(and even a lot of digital artists as a whole) lack talent in, animation... and he's really good at it.

I will say hands down that he wipes the floor clean with me at digital art lol
