Dino Valley was nothing exciting, just a server with different style of brightly colored paths, staff with dinosaur/Yoshi heads and Chocobo horses. |
Don't forget the DBZ npcs, Rufus. For God's sake don't forget them. :frown:

All new playerworlds are boring because they aren't classic. Classic = Trashy with nice people |
dino valley actually had quests with prizes lol
|
I can ask my cousin if he has a backup of the server before it was turned into Galbadia. :)
|
oh so thats what happened to it... was wandering where it went when i came back and it was gone =O
|
ooo would be cool to see it, never got the chance
|
I remember it being the homeworld of HEX. I think Andrew should remember too ;D

Can people please stop talking about reviving those. "Spar-classic-quest servers". Classic and Unholy Nation will forever be on the throne. People don't want those old servers anymore. Or if someone makes a killer server. No one will even bother playing it. Because, the old classic servers are not played for "joy" like before. It's more of, logging in just to see if your friends are online. Like a big chatroom in my opinion.

You can walk outside of the OSL and go into houses with endless possibilities of crap that was made simply to be fun; and yet no one bothers to make anything. |

you can't be more right =O |
I didn't play this server much back in the day or maybe I just can't remember but I do remember the quests being awesome. It also seemed like they had a large number of quest's to do as well so it made it fun for a long time.

Does anybody have a backup of Dino Valley? I've been searching for it for 4 years, and Stefan won't answer my emails (obviously). I don't want to revive it, so dont post about how you all hate people trying to revive dead servers. Yes, its dead, and YES it should stay that way, and YES it died for a reason. It was just the first server I ever played, and I want to relive some old memories of when Graal was great. Wouldn't hurt anyone to play it offline by myself. So please, if someone has the backup or knows anyone that might please point me in the right direction
You can PM me here, or email me [email protected] Thanks in advance :) |

Dino Valley was one of my favorites.
Before it was called Dino Valley it was called Aramech (sp?) Managed by a person named ChaCha, who subsequently I would not be surprised is still visiting Graal and reading these forums periodically. The server featured a robust selection of weapons that were unique and heavy usage of the Magic meter, and was less trashy than Unholy Nation, predates Unholy Nation, and in today's climate could probably be msitaken for the same type of thing. But it's not-- the level design is much different when you look at the overworld map, and the main town was a really cool Yoshi themed town that doesn't look anything like what you would see on Graal now. I'd say I will give my nod to Dino Valley as being one of the only servers with a lot of unique weapons that took Graal's engine at the time to its max without the use of an NPCserver at all. A lot of players from Elven Lands either returned to Classic, or upgraded and went to Graal2001. But many fled to Dino Valley. Also, I liked the entrance to the Dino Town and thought it was a very proper usage of the Tileset, and looked a lot like you would expect a proper castle entrance from a zelda Game to look. |
