Bypassing college network restrictions
 

Could anyone suggest how i could get around the restricted college network while still using it since in fact its the only one to use here? I heard change the proxy address, input a vpn address, and so forth.

Depends on what you're trying to do. If it's a website then all you have to do is use a proxy website to visit what site you want. If it's something else...I can't help you.

Let me rephrase my question..how may bypass restricted networks so that i may play games (ex: graal)

Most likely the network blocks traffic on all ports except a few specified ones.

Best advice I can give you is to Google "yougetsignal" and click on the first result. Then try entering common ports like 21, 80, 110, etc. (there's a list of them on the site) in the "Port Number" box and testing them until you get one that's open. Then go into Graal's options ----> General ----> Uncheck "Don't use UDP for data packages" ----> Check "Use fixed port for UDP" and set the port to one that tested as open. Even if it works you'll probably have trouble seeing other player's movements, etc. but it's better than nothing.

You might also want to look into Tor although I doubt that it would work for this problem.

I would suggest that you check the terms of service of your college's network, before you do something they don't like and they block your network access. :cool:

Or even ask the campus to unblock it. Probably won't work
