GK=Needs a reset if there will ever be a massive update

In my opinion, gk needs a reset if there will ever be a massive update. Why?For many reasons.Mainly becuase a Reset would allow the systems to be tweaked, items to be balanced, items to be completed, dungeons and other places in the game to be modifyed, more leveling convienience(We can go up to level 110 and we need to buy hundreds of brutals with nothing else to help us level to something as low as level 30?),and for the biggest reason of all:
The make things fair for those lazy cheap level 110's who didnt do **** to level up while people are struggling to reach something as low as level 15.

I know some of you may be against this, but you used a freaken exploit(Which could get you reset on gk) and a reset would be good if there is ever going to be a massive update, for the freaken sake of the server in order to update things.
Anyone agree with me on a reset if there will ever be a massive update with everything updated and balanced??

Screw them.
If they dont want to play the game it is supostue to be played, then they shouldent be played.
If the GP's probally didnt abuse that bug, they would of banned those who used the exploit>_<
Wrong is wrong.
This is coming from somone who was the best Rogue on hosted Zodiac.
I didnt complain when they had 6 resets.
If people cant handle a fresh start then let them quit. They are to high to level up, so what will they do on gk anyways?loiter?

Massive update? Phew, then there'll never be a reason to worry about a reset.

they should have one or start a new gold server completely, it's pretty pointless to leave 2 gold servers there and not get a fresh new start and a reason for an upgrade.

DustyPorViva 09-12-2007 03:07 AM

They should... but there won't be.
Zone wasn't even their creation, it was someone's server that they got permission to use and built upon it. They're too focused on Graal3D right now to work on anything else, and I can't even imagine what kind of server they'd create if they did.

lordbosh 09-12-2007 04:12 AM

Reset Please

Googi 09-12-2007 05:07 AM

Resets are not a long term solution. They're a short term solution that only makes sense if you're about to scrap the server and replace it with something else anyways.

CABAL49 09-12-2007 01:18 PM

A reset would help to fix many problems that we have now, it would allow the leveling to be fixed and to make the game more fair. But in order for a reset to work we would need more updates as we go along. It would definetly buy more time for these updates.

1. Fix
2. Add
3. Reset
4. ???
5. Profit!

We're still at step 1.

Ravenblade1979 09-12-2007 04:07 PM

Lol they will never reset the server. They see no real need too.

Again i see people complaining. Why not help me to complete these themed areas so we have some new stuff to explore?

personally I don't want GK to reset but if it did i'd still play.

protozero 09-14-2007 05:35 PM

Hey...some of us put good thousands of sad hours on GK leveling and getting items and not just USDing. I'd be moderatly upset if they reset everything, lol!! Nah I wouldn't care much, but I still don't think it would do anything, wouldn't make me want to play the same crap over and over again. New everything, yes!

MajinDragon 09-14-2007 08:39 PM

... I don't think GK needs a reset... What will a reset acheive? Rare items made non-existant until they are released yet again?... I'd only advise a reset if a server's economy was in dire need of a reset due to everyone having everything, or if everyone had already reached the max level and things get well... boring. GK's economy is just based on rares so it doesn't need to be reset... No one but the oldbies who abused have reached the max levels for phys/magic/wisdom.

Right now, i would say fixing all of the bugs and other stuff on GK, then adding alot more content, then, maybie 3-4 years down the line, when things get too stale, a reset could be an option. But even then, i believe a reset is just a way for bone idle staff who can't be bothered to fix/add things to get away with actually 'working' to just sit around for about 2 months until the server needs another reset...

You can tweak the systems withought needing to reset everything...
Items are already balanced...
Everything else in the 1st para is needed but yet again, does not require a reset... Oh and btw... level 110 doesn't have to be done with brutal maps. That's just for wis/magic/phys. You could train mental/agility/person and others which require alot less time and still give you base levels.

If you are talking about the party bug a while back, yes alot of people abused it but there are players who are level 110 with nice individual skill levels who didn't abuse the bug and have just put the time and effort in.

A massive update wouldn't necessarily require a reset... Besides, GK doesn't need one HUGE update. It needs many updates, weekly updates, that are much needed and not some random crap no one cares about. Along with adding new content in those updates, staff should make it a priority to fix bugs/errors every week.

Majin, thats the reason runescape has a million people, besides the huge advertisting.

They test and test, make sure there are NO bugs before they release it. Name the last time runescape updated? thx.

Well GK didn't have the luxury of dedicated staff who test and test everything to make sure there are no bugs before the actual release... Thats why we do need updates... Runescape sucks and is one of th few acceptions. You should look at games which are on a bigger scale. WoW is a good example. They are always updating, even if it's just class balancing or bug fixes, they are doing something, and we always know they're going to add alot more content sometime in the future.

But i guess it's not fair to pair up GK with other huge, profitable games out there, mainly because gk staff don't get paid so they won't really have that much time for updates/bug fixes.

the only person that works on gk bugs is Stefan... and sometimes bjorn. They get paid to do it... but they never do it... always busy doing other things.

I say to stefan... he needs to make a team of developer(s), of just one person or two would do, Just for fixing bugs and adding stuff to gk, and nothing else.

There is no "team" working on GK... Stefan is pretty much all we got. With a little help from bjorn. Stefan is always busy with client updates and client bugs... and prolly graal 3d(hopefully they give up on this project).

So i think GK needs a bug fixing item adding team.

oh yeah forgot to mention that i wasn't sure about that.

I kept hearing these voices coming from my cornfield i was growing on Zormite saying.

"IF YOU FIX IT, THEY WILL COME.'

but i can't fix it so, somebody better fix it so more people will come.
