Developer Gold switch finished
We have switched all graal.net playerworlds to the new Developer Gold system:
- Renting a server is as easy as upgrading an account - just go on the website and buy a Developer Gold subscription: http://www.graalonline.com/playerworlds/stores/upgrade - Instead of just using PayPal, you can now also use PayByCash which offers more payment methods. - Same price as before - The servers are bound to the owners account. You don't have a separate admin-account, but the owner account gets full access. - You see the remaining subscription time on the serverlist. - You see your server on the serverlist We also want to remind you that there is now the Developer Pack available on the website - it lets you share the costs of a server between several developers. The price is basicly 1/3 of Developer Gold, and you need 3 people to create the server. |
How come the classic dev servers aren't classic enabled anymore? x_x

Uhm?
What if the owners account were espired before this system came out..? |

In my opinion it's just fair that they can't get on these because these are just usual playerworlds you would need playerworlds gold subscription for. Somewhere needs to be a limit to this. If they grant more and more access to the classic accounts the playerworld gold subscription will become useless x_x |

what if everyone on the classic tab didnt pay for graal? pay once, never pay again, be staff.... besides, playerworlds have better management than the gold servers do... maybe "gold" should be free, and "classic" should cost money since it's more worth it? x.x |

And you can't pay once for Graal any more unless you did prior. I se no reason why they should change an old policy since it has no effect on new players anyways which the whole Dev gold thing is aimed towards: New people. EDIT: Zodiac Dev still says I need Gold to get on RC. EDIT 2: Seems I can go on client just fine without having observer mode but RC still says I need gold. Oh and this is AWESOME since I don't get trial mode on my own server with my account anymore! ^_^ Thank you! <3 |
@ Zero: Admin accounts were abused. Everyone would give it to a friend who ran out of gold; it was killing Graal, not to mention the security risk. And unless you're unemployed, Zero, I'm sure it's no hassle to upgrade for 24 USD at most, seeing as you bought a server for more then 2x that much.
This is nice that I don't need to go to graal.net to see how much longer I got left, but question: when your server goes hosted, does it go out of the "Special" bar or is there an option or what? |
@ Horrified: I was saying this is a good thing o_o. I hated having to use my admin account just to go on my server which often led to me going only on my server or not going on my server at all (to go on other servers). I really hated having to look up my passwords.

It was just about dev servers of classic server are now a classic server or not. So do you see it listed as classic or not. This was my statement to say it is no classic server. Don't come up with things and turn it like I said they shouldn't have dev servers.. |

Development should never take place on a public server in an ideal situation.
