Does anyone else think its awfully lame?

Although certain gun's may be considered "lame", they are permitted to everyone's use.

No? It's rented from the trader for one month. It's not as overpowered as, say, the photon cannon, but it's still too strong and needs weakening to do around 18-20 damage per shot.

Two different guns with two completely different price ranges. Anyone can get 1.6k in a month. But 16k. (maybe 18k forgot which) Is harder to get for most people. Also 18-20 damage? What are trying to make it the Green Rifle?

Whatever, I think for its shooting speed the damage shouldnt go down to 18 or 20, thats just stupid. I would say 26, not less, maybe more.

Well, its sort of like a cbow, because it has one bullet that pretty much has the same fire rate and does a little more damage (it also has about the same innacuracy). One big problem, lots of minimum range. Cbow has very small to none minimum range, so this gun's not very good for soloing.. its a good backup/support though. Spread might be good if you want to blow barrels up or, like it says, attack other people near the target with one shrapnel shot.

if u get caught close range and your using this gun, your in trouble.

So I guess its pretty balanced.. I mean, its more like a sniper than close combat weapon.

it bounces off walls trust me it has a good minimum range. For its abilities it need to be nerfed to 18-20 like huwa said. its not a fair weapon.

The spread, is ***. I can't get it to spread out when i want it too. I think like, when pushing D if you push D again thats when it spreads.Anyhow, its not lame if you think about it. If you get hit by it, it could be worse that coudl of be a photon D. >>

Yes but if the D shot goes past the group of people wtf does it hit? NOTHING AND IT DOESNT SPREAD TO HIT THE GROUP IF IT DOESNT HIT ANYTHING.

I've always said I don't care for the price ranges involved with these bought guns. Whether it's more expensive or not, the photon just means its limited only to even better players, so that just adds to the fact that it is unfair. At least with the metallicrifle a newbie to the game could actually get it. Besides, the photon isn't up for sale on the traders anymore, lol.

Well it was nerfed down from 28 to 24 I think

It did 32 damage when I first got it. Then today I logged on and it did 24.

Yeah. then lets completely ignore the fact you get Grelats for upgrading and logging in then getting Photon ;) I basically just owned myself really.

It's still open for anyone's use. Stefan didn't make it so if someone buy's it that he doesn't like, they get banned.

It's a bit poor to make an arguement out of that though, so you have a point.

However, the handgun was available to everyone yet only 'noobs' used it because it was infamous at the time. There's more than just statistics to what makes a weapon 'lame', it's whether it's acceptable to use among the community without being cursed at every 20 seconds.

Well the nerf came out, I dont think it helped to balance it, because you have to remember, this costs ingame money and its not a default inventory weapon, so it shouldn't be on the same damage scale as for say a storm rifle.. And the single shot is weak, shrapnel isnt all 'pwnsome' as you thought. I just dont think the nerf was needed at all...

Yarhar, indeed it is a lame weapon. And when it first came out it was indeed uber lame.

its a weird gun for me, when i use it, i find it very hard to use, when i come up against one, its a pain in the ass cuz its indeed lame.

Ya its wierd for me to. Like i try to use it as a pistol kinda thing. But its freeze time >>. I try to use it as a rifle and strafe, but its to slow.

2) They are comparing the Handgun to the Metallic rifle (Handgun was considered lame, and Metallic Rifle is now), I think.

Anyway's, I have yet to see the new gun so my opinion isn't signifficant enough to state an accurate theory about the Metallic rifle.

Ive seen it, I don't see how it can be considered "lame"
