GraalBible wiki search button for the Google Toolbar!

1 Attachment(s)
It's here!

If you have the Google Toolbar for Firefox, you can go to the link below and get the GraalBible wiki button for it. This was custom made by myself (hosted on Twinny's VIP site temporarily, would be nice if it could be hosted by wiki.graal.net).

This is how it works:
  • First go here:
    http://toolbar.google.com/buttons/ad...lbarbutton.xml
  • Now read what it says so you know what it is doing and click the "Add" button.
  • The button should now appear on your Google Toolbar right next to the search box.
  • Type anything into the search box and click the newly added button (don't hit the enter key or you will go to Google)
  • Enjoy the easy convenience of being able to go to a wiki page in only 1 or 2 clicks!

A quick guide for those that use that google search box in the upper right instead:

On the Google Toolbar should be a gray circle (it will be green if you are currently signed into google) with a small arrow pointing down, click that arrow and go to "Options...". In the window that appears, click "Layouts" (you can check out your current buttons in this window too). Next click the radio button labeled "Replace Firefox search box". The Firefox search box should now be the google toolbar search box!.

You can then right click on any toolbar and click customize to move your buttons around. Attached is a screenshot of my firefox layout ;)

Hope you all enjoy!

The wiki is great if you know what you are looking for. It sucks for beginners though...part of the reason why I made my website ^^.

Not installing any Google Toolbar, there is a search box built right into FireFox, now can you make it work for that?

Hmmm should add shortcuts like you said zero, so you directly see the page for GuiControl etc.

That's what I said. Install google toolbar and there is an option to replace the default firefox one with the google one. I re-added all my old searchs to the google one.

Sadly, nope. I don't know of a way to code firefox buttons let alone plug-ins (which I think would be a little to much for just a simple button). I suggest you just get the google toolbar since it comes with spell checkers, you can use other buttons like these and many other things (as you can see in the screen shot, I just threw my spell checker, page rank and highlighter down on my quick link toolbar).

Sorry we have shutdown the support center for a few days, the wiki is on the same computer so it will be down as well.

Alright, good luck.

zokemon 08-23-2007 11:39 AM

Lovely, the support center is up but the wiki is still down. I thought they were on the same computer?

EDIT: Scratch that, I was looking at "http://support.cyberjouers.com/" which is in Houdini's signature. Isn't this a fake/phishing site? Why does Houdini have this link in his signature? >_>

Yeah, seriously x_x.
I sure hope no one logged into that page... (May explain some things)
You need some anti-phishing methods on the support center maybe like bankofamerica does it (site key, etc.). Especially since most people can't spell cyberjoueurs off the top of their head.

That's what I'd like to know...

I'm pretty sure I used support.graalonline.com when I made my signature, since even I only recently mastered the spelling of cyberjoueurs.

Whatever the case may be, I've changed all my passwords.

zokemon 08-31-2007 06:31 AM

Need a new host for the xml file... Can you host it on wiki.graal.net Stefan? I can send you the correct source code. (It's only 1.4 kb)

EDIT: Hehe, I made the "Worlds" page look much nicer :P

zokemon 09-07-2007 09:56 AM

For all that use the wiki at all, here is a page I made for requesting features (or information on a certain topic?). I suppose you could use it to request things that other people besides Stefan could add too.

http://wiki.graal.net/Talk:Feature_Requests/Wiki

I'll be adding more request pages for other things too.
