Trade Confirm

Pretty self explanatory. After both players have hit accept the top of the table could display in green print what they both are trading and then they both have to hit a 2nd accept button to finish trading. I think this could help with the scamming problems. Comments? The ones from non scammer that is

ceserthen 08-17-2007 12:32 AM

good anti scaming idea

kia345 08-17-2007 12:35 AM

Or, a harder solution, when you right click the item, show the amount of dias/plats it usually goes for with other players rather than at npc shops.

Both of those thrown together would stop a bit of scamming.

cyan3 08-17-2007 12:40 AM

How will this stop scamming? if you are carful and know what your doing you and never get scammed, and keep in mind if you get scammed it's your own falt for falling for it.

well I hate to break this too you but some of us are new to graal kingdoms and will leave because of stupid stuff like that. Some of us may have light on the screen so we can't see fishing rod lines or something. This can help prevent it.

Do what i do, if you are going to trade always right click on every item on the table first to see if it's fake or not.

well yes but not everyone knows you can even left click when they start playing. It would make gk more new player friendly.

I thought everybody did that, i never realised there were mor... people who actually never right click... But this isn't that neccessary, there are two clear options to choose from, accept/decline, the only thing i'd suggest is that there be a gap between the two, sometimes i almost click accept when i mean to decline.

The suggestion to show an items trade value would not work so well as the values can change easily, and i think staff at this moment in time are far to lazy/busy/notbothered to keep altering the values every single item...

Crimson2005 08-17-2007 01:27 AM

Have an "Are you sure you want to accept?" feature added.

Or have 2 green flags on the table and you have to click them both to accept the trade.

dNeonb 08-17-2007 02:09 AM

Why 2 green flags and stuff, this is completly unnecessary. x_x

If you put something on and click green your green clicked flag would go to standby again if I get on the table. So you have to confirm it AGAIN. If the other side changes something you have to confirm it again. it's your own fault if you see nothing and hit the green flag again.

I agree, as seen in my first post. But i might aswell put up some sort of an idea about it.

no need for that. I was just suggesting they go from the Row on the table to Ring of War (text) at the top and then the other eprsons. Then you hit accept. This way scamming would be a lot harder.

yes but it can't be changed after the first accept.

This is meant to help reduce scamming because as Bjorn pointed out to me players with very valuable items can lose them to scamming. I am trying to get something done about this problem because not everyone logs on to trade and immediatly thinks OMG I R NEED LEFT CLICK 2 MAKE SURE IT THERE!. They see the item and proceed to hit accept.

Ravenblade1979 08-17-2007 05:20 PM

And people say that Bjorn is trying to ruin the server...how can this be when such a good idea has presented itself that could in fact save a lot of people from being scammed.

MajinDragon 08-17-2007 05:44 PM

Hmm, perhaps this would solve everything?
Upon clicking on either side of the table, two trade screen gui's appear on your screen, one of the right, and one on the left. Whoever has claimed either side will have their Account name displayed as the 'Owner' on the respective gui, Any items he/she places on the table will appear under the account name like a list starting from what was first placed on, to the last, and incase there are many items being traded, a scroll feature will also be possible. To make this feature more easier, everyone can move the gui's and increase/decrease their size either horizontally or vertically. I believe this feature, along with a 3second cooldown between being able to claim another table after exiting one will completely remove table scamming.

Note: The cooldown is because alot of scammers like to exit the table with the item placed, and then instantly claim the table and click accept, a cheap way to scam, but it's used and people do fall for it.

Also the gui's will be like the inventory gui in that you can change it's transparency if your light effects are turned on.

Most people new to a game expect to be restored but since Graal's customer service is... inexistant, basically... players get stuff scammed all the time and nothing ever gets done about it because the staff are just plain too lazy to deal with it. It's not someone fault who is new to the game when someone uses some sort of "bug" on gk to replace their spell icon with a hotkeyed item and they think they're getting a good deal... that's a game bug and should be fixed.

MajinDragon 08-17-2007 08:20 PM

I still think if what i said was implimented (which is highly unlikely due to the... 'layed back' nature of current staff) table scamming, as far as i am concered, would cease to exist. Unless of course a complete retard decides to ignore what the gui's say :noob:

That's a pretty simple solution to that kind of table-scamming.
Good idea.

Yeah, also when you put items on the table it should put the name of the item on top of it or on the bottom with it and pick a different font and color for the name of the item so people can't type the name and put it over the item.

Or maybe if you put your cursor over it, it will display the name so you don't have to right click just put the mouse over it would be easier.

It's just as easy to right click the items than putting your curosr over the item.

Staff will look for more of a quick fix to whats there. they probaly won't change anything...
if you change the tables there will be no place to "show off" or advertise your items... people would flood mass messages even more.
