Control + Delete
 

Usually control + delete (in a word document or on these forums) causes for the last word you typed to be deleted. On graal however if you open a pm and press the backspace (what I am calling the delete key) while pressing the control key a wierd faintly lit square appears. It is small and takes a second to notice. I would like this to be fixed because I avidly use this in game or on the forums.

Or just press backspace like every other normal person?

I'm pressing ctrl+delete here and it's not even doing anything so...

It does that to me ingame, but in a PM it makes the square.. Doesn't bother me because I don't make mistakes when im typing slow.

Control + backspace is very important yes. In fact I use control a ton such as control + arrow keys, control + page up and I hate it how these produce characters in some programs...

People who don't hold ctrl + backspace to delete something are just slow typers ;D

Personally, I beg to differ :P However, I have used character by character deleting (for fixing mistakes within words) and SHIFT+Left to highlight and then the "Delete" or "Backspace" button to edit text for years. Getting into the habit of CTRL+BackSpace would probably make me do stupid crap :P But beside that point is the fact that yes, this bug does exist, and should be looked at, regardless.

Kinda on-topic:

The '^' character should also be fixed on the german keyboard. It was already ****ed up in v4 (you had to press the key twice to get that little thingy) but since v5, it stopped working completely, and I always have to switch to the english keyboard if I want to use those little thingies ;o

yep isn't that what I said. I said that when I say delete I mean backspace..
or people who have a broken mouse so they send pm's and almost everything by keyboard...

Added Ctrl+Backspace in both normal text edit field and multiline text edit field, will work with the next Graal version.
