First Try.
1 Attachment(s)
Hey Guys, I have been leveling for a very long time on general styling and stuff but I have never tried a really detailed cliff level. So I thought I would try. I have tried to do something a little creative with the beach but Im not sure yet.
Please try not to bash on me too hard, I know it may not quite be up to par yet but it is still a WIP. I will hopefully post updates later. Here it is: |

It looks good.
Except I find the beach thing a bit illogical. It just makes some hourglass shape without any apparent reason |

I dont think there are tiles for the cliffs that will make them blend. |

Sorry for the double post but here is the update. I started to work on the tiling a little bit. Its a totally knew style for me. I have never tried grouping things. So please go easy again XD.
I also have a question about the trees. I have never known how to connect trees. Do people connect trees with npcs of treetops? Or do they manage to do it some other way? The Update: |

is this what you want?
and btw i like ur level :D |
That is basically what I want but I also wanted to see the diagonal trees.

there are special tiles on the tileset for that, look in forums I believe theres a tutorial for it
|
a level shouldnt be judged on how illogical it is or is not.its a game
its role play its fantasy, heck if he wanted to create a empire state building on sand, let him, anything is possible on a 2d game. nice levels, good work, good tiling, almost no errors(i bet u learned that from general tiling) just learn from the mistakes u made in previous levels, and make sure you not over do the water part.:) |
Well here is old tree tutorial i made should be useful
